The place has tasting notes which spurs on conversation about the wine, although it isn't required.

I schedule and populate corporate wine tasting events for my company. We try and do 10 folks from our firm and 10 folks from a law firm/CPA firm and do intimate tastings. One of our employees does the wine part. I am known as the director of wine events.

Nice!^ What a cool 'job' you have!;):D

Yikes - I don't really consider that 'wine tasting' -- after having been to other locales where there are incredible wines to taste!;)

This year we have the McLaren Vale in South Australia on the schedule, the Barossa is an event of the Oz Fest, and we are also planning to visit an area in Austria. We really like the Austrian style and since that wine country is so close to Vienna, it may be feasible this time to do before and after the DO wine road trips in September.

Those plans sound great!^ I will make sure that I am part of any pre-DO group that you organize ;) (although sadly I don't know how many DOs I'll be able to attend in the foreseeable future )!

Right now, the wine tastings are more of a priority than other things. It is great, except if you consider teh clients.

That sounds cool. I suspect my reason from shying away from wine tasting, and wine in general, is me not knowing wine and me have a mild allergic reaction to many wines. Haven't had a problem with wine in the UK except for the one Korean wine that my ears went bright red after two sips.

That I do understand and you will notice that I did talk about your need to get yourself stabilized before you can talk about that sort of stuff. That does not happen overnight even when you do get a good job.

I remember how long it took me when I got a job after a long period of unemployment and freelancing.
