Sometimes I think our travel policy is more about protecting the agency's profit margin than saving us money.

Just like my state's retirement system protects the management fees of the "preferred providers".

I had no idea that two bell carts worth of crap from Costco unloaded out of your rented Lincoln Navigator and delivered to your firm's war room carries a market rate of $2. This is the same Navigator that you never show up to pull out of the driveway on time leading us to have to drive it around the block or re-park it...and we're not talking about taking 15 minutes to show up when the valet says it will be 10. I'm talking about saying the car will be there in 10 minutes and showing up two hours later. And, while you're at it, how about giving me the ticket number that is associated with the car instead of just calling down and saying "bring me the white SUV". Oh, right, no one else on the planet has a white SUV except for you.

Had to vent that.

And on the flip side, there are tippers like me :)

On the way back from the NCAA tournament we stopped for a very late lunch. I saw that I tipped more than the other two individuals present combined

We had a great guy today give us $30 for holding his car on the street. There's good ones out there, but not nearly as much as some of the old heads the the hotel remember from several years ago.

Thought of you today when we were cleaning out the podium at the front door of the hotel. Came across a pair of very small Coach driving gloves.

I have to show up at an offsite for my orientation in the morning. On my day off. Boss scheduled me for orientation on a day that I am scheduled off.

Night, Box.

I used to not ever be able to sleep on a plane, but for some reason lately, taxiing out to the runway for takeoff puts me out.

July is usually a bit lower; but April tends to be high season. I was very happy. ^ You got a great deal!

I want a fare like that ^ Waiting to see how my summer develops, then will likely burn some FF miles and Hyatt points (yes, I really said the latter).

Any motion usually does it for me, unless I have a mini me.

I recall a date where I ended up leaving a tip because I knew he hadn't tipped enough. Yes, it was the last date.
