I often find myself using a smaller WN credit for a OW between city pairs served by other airlines, flying the preferred airline the other.

I didn't status match. I have CO PPMC and you get Hyatt Platinum with that, so I called up and asked for the Diamond Trial. It was so easy! Now I just need to find 15 days at a Hyatt. Already have 5 scheduled, will have to find 10 cheap nights somewhere.

I like SPG but am a lowly nothing with them, and so figured it's easier to get the Diamond with Hyatt, and just use my SPG amex to rack up points with SPG.

Interesting. I need to think about this...

I would say under 18.3 %

A vacation that starts in one city and ends in another? :-:

Is it in F? That counts as a very nice "gift," right? :D

ALCO,

Box Marriage Ref

I heard a story of a bachelor party that ended up similarly...except the guy came to in somewhere much less exciting than LIM. Fargo, or some equivalent place. I assume this happened long before 9/11, of course, since they had to actually get the guy on the plane... :p

At least 5 as I understand it. LIM is not too bad but the need to get out to CUZ adds time.

Buy a lottery ticket. Now. :-:

You can see most of the touristy stuff in LIM in a day, but I'd take two (just to enjoy the amazing restaurants in Miraflores). There's a Radisson Decapolis in Miraflores that is a simply stunning hotel (think W, Sofitel or Andaz). No points in a meaningful program, but well worth a stay. I can't comment on Macchu Pichu, as I've never been.

Thanks everyone!

sdm1130 pointed out that June is rainy/fog season in Peru, which is making me question whether the trek out to Machu Pichu would be worth it.

Right now I have us booked for five days total.

In the 70s, my father Shanghaid a friend of his who was driving a group of them out to the airport. Due to a recent marriage, said friend was prohibited from Boys Fishing Week on the Ecuadorian coast. Said friend was induced to imbibe large quantities of alcohol at the airport, and later came to in a Guayaquil hotel room. Shortly thereafter, the contents of his stomach made a descent of approximately three stories, out a window, and landed on the table where my father and friends were having breakfast and playing cards. :-:

I will be there on Easter Sunday. I assume just about everything except the Cathedrals will be closed.

There are actually a handful of sub-$500 EU fares out of EWR now. It makes sense to have high fares in the winter and lower fares in the spring.

My travel calendar is fairly packed through the start of summer. Nothing below :rolleyes::rolleyes: range on the horizon. I may be relying on CO.com specials over the summer months, unless some good mistake fares or Q-UPs come along.

I envy your travel schedule. I have 3 trips planned in the next month and then nothing scheduled until October.

I need to change this...

I got a bit silly with bookings (moreso than usual) shortly after the annulment. It kept me occupied. :D
