I have that issue too. However, since work switched me to their old crappy BlackBerry instead of the nice new one I owned, I barely use the BlackBerry now unless I have to. It's mostly used for work calls since that charges to the company, not my personal minutes on my Nexus One.

That was my first thought, also. Great  think alike.

Some of their stuff is decent. I like a couple of the sandwiches I've had, and the fruit and granola yogurt parfait and blueberry muffins they offer at breakfast are good. The new Choice menu they rolled out last summer was definitely an improvement over the previous offering.

I agree. It's pretty faint praise, but UA's BOB is better than others in my experience.

However, I wonder how CO is going to differentiate itself now? Better IFE? If I'm going to be in coach, and price is the same, I'd rather fly UA. My posterior would thank me for it.

And, sbm12, YX is now YX in name only. I don't think much, if any, of the pre-buyout service remains, and all of their routes are flown by Republic E190s. MKE is probably a better connecting point than either Chicago airport.

Back in NJ. Still dreary, but I can't complain after hearing the reports of the past weekend. At least my power's back on.

Anyone in Midtown interested in happy hour/early dinner? I have to be at 34th & 5th at 7 pm.

Do any of you have words that you just dislike violently and wish people would never use? (or am I just that weird...:p) "Luxe" is one of mine - it isn't that hard to say "deluxe" or "luxurious"...just sounds weird.

Though nothing holds a candle to "hubby." :td: I realize that I am probably alone in the world on this one, but I remember being...oh...about 5 years old and seeing that word on magazine covers in the supermarket and wondering why "adults" were putting baby talk on the headlines of their publications. And I've never warmed up to it since then. :p

SXSW is becoming too commercialized. Ashton Kutcher is coming to Texas.

The best BOB I've ever had was on YX, back when YX was still mostly YX and most flights were on the 717s. Their food was quite good, and on most flights over two hours, offered a hot option. I never had a bad meal with them, nor did I ever have a meal that I thought was overpriced. In fact, the quality was quite good for the price.

Yes. You're not alone. And not weird either.

They already sell it via the Chase Presidents Plus card.

i wish it was him. I've spoken to Mayor Nutter a couple of times in person, before he became mayor, and he's a nice person to talk to.

+1. I did not find UA's options to be that appealing.

The only time that I bought it was one evening four or five years ago on TED (sent that way from US due to IRROPS) with a three hour delay out of ORD and I got hungry. They were offering no choices and the one that they had was nothing but candy bars and salty snacks.

Couple that with TED, ORD at the end of an old beat-up terminal, and the three hour delay and right then, US was looking pretty good to me.

They've changed since then. They've got the snackboxes you experienced, plus they generally have a couple of sandwich/wrap options, a couple of salad options, and a few snack items (cookies, energy bars, chips, etc).

The current UA snackboxes are also much improved over those of a few years ago.

Anyone else remember the canned pasta salad? It was as effective as syrup of ipecac at inducing vomiting.
