Plantronics tends to be pretty good. I don't think you necessarily need to get a USB headset. The last USB one I got from Plantronics had a pair of 1/8" jacks that fed into a USB dongle. I ditched the dongle and plugged straight into the ports on my laptop.

The USB part generally does noise-cancellation in addition to just providing speakers and a microphone. But I agree than almost anything will be just fine. I've found that my regular headphones and just using the built-in mic makes a big difference versus using both built-ins.

One could say that, at points, it's been crazy here too. :)

Yeah, it was weird. I called in for teh status match and they answered before the phone line rang.
