See you all later. Off to get ready for work and to drop off the boy for his soccer game.

Have a nice day everyone.

I thought french drains were suppose to drain the water away from your house?

Traditionally, yes. Mine were designed (for some  reason) to feed into my sump which (when working) is connected directly to the sewer drain.

Hence the epic fail when the sump lost power.

I think that's against code.

Hope you get it dried out quickly.

Cloudy and 70s here in AKL. NZ J is clearly superior to Old UA F, in every way imaginable (Seat, Lounges, Food, Service). The Old UA seat may have a tiny bit more privacy, but (IME), it doesn't go 100% flat (some incline by the headrest). NZ is flat as a board.

Am looking forward to trying out the refurbed recliner-style J on NZ's 763s in a bit. Their 767s look pretty snazzy with winglets. ^

But the seat in the new UA first is actually more to my taste than the NZ C seat. I like to sleep on my back with the head up and that is imposs with the NZ (VS type) seat.

However, everything else is far superior on NZ since with the UA first seat come the same old UA FAs and the crappy food. It is hard to beat the service that you get from the NZ crews and the food is actually not bad for being in an airplane.

And the lounges, fuhgeddaboudit. Even the UA FC lounges at JFK and LAX are not up to the standards of the Koru Lounges although it is a blessing not to be condemned to the RCCs.

I called the guy I've used in the past for an estimate. I'm far down the waiting list as it's not an emergency. I sense I'm further up the list of the non-emergencies as I'm a repeat customer.

That big tree was very nice parking itself safely between houses.

I'm more worried about the cost to clean up the tree and the big hole in the ground. I really don't know what kind of damage my car has. It looks fine but the rain I'm sure is hiding the scratches. At least not of the windows broke.

I'm watching the news and there are big trees down all over NJ/NY/PA land. One thing that's bringing down so many trees is the wind is blowing in the opposite direction in normally does when it's this windy.

Be thankful the trees don't have leave on em yet
Sorry to hear about all the

Cool, good luck
