Ugh I spend all this work on my resume only to discover a dumb typo in the middle of the page the day after I submit it.

Trip calculator now updated to include BD earnings, too. Sadly, I don't have the Gold+55K calculations working but the other bits should be right.

Was able to acquire a generator so I got my sump operational. Basement is drying out but the ground is so saturated the French drains keep dumping more water in.

Utility is saying no juice till Tues. so I might hook the generator up to power necessities like the fridge (no internet because FioS requires power).

That was a rather interesting morning. Hopefully I don't have to repeat it anytime soon. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed there's not too much damage to the sheetrock.

Choosing to believe it's "coincidence"? ;)

Like the BD Calculator - do the various *A airlines use different estimators for segment lengths? One of my four recent segments (SMF-ORD) comes out as three miles more on your tool.

How much standing water is there? Do you have a slope to allow using a garden hose for additional drainage? Hope this dries out quickly.

Here's the tree that fell down.

I called the guy I've used in the past for an estimate. I'm far down the waiting list as it's not an emergency. I sense I'm further up the list of the non-emergencies as I'm a repeat customer.

There's no more standing water (there was about 2" when I started this a.m.). The sump is just running continuously pumping out what the French drains are pumping in. Everything is working as designed. It was just designed to have power run to it. Now that I have a generator buzzing along, things are fine. Not sure how much damage was done, but that's a problem for another day.

weather.com is saying more rain tonight and tomorrow and the local utility map shows no power for me until Wed.

In better news, I can haz random unsecured wifi network? I can haz!

Don't have any connections to get that bumped up :) or any larger generator to run a fridge + sump pump?

I've been seeing some good prices on 15kVa gensets here in TX, not sure why!

Still something I can't bring myself to undertake.

I would like to have a small generator but the number / length of outages here make one hard to justify.
