Glad no one but the car was hurt. Doesn't insurance cover stuff like this?

That sucks, but at least it didn't hit the house.

If you had a Toyota you could just claim the car took the tree out.;)

Pleasure having seen Phudnike and mini-Phud2.0b this afternoon for beer pickup. :-:

It was quite an adventure. Daughter #1 and I dodged traffic and two feet of water on US 30 on the way to chez Copa. Some poor guy in a BMW Z4 was not so lucky and had to abandon ship in the middle of the road. She has a good story to tell her friends. Getting home was much easier.

Thanks again for picking up the beer. It was great to meet Copa Connection. Your place was as I pictured -- the Box on your laptop, TV tuned to WeTV...very cozy.

You don't have to redeem for US flights.

But US needs to remain in business for the miles to have any value. :-:

That seems to defeat the purpose of the Internet.

Mine doesn't for some reason. Only if it took out the house. I knew I should have switched policies sooner. (yes I have a quote on my computer)

Very water logged. I was wondering where the muddy water has been coming from all day. I'm going to guess it was digging a trench under the tree. The wind was likely around 70 mph when it fell over.

I watched my first 'live' agility last summer.(where the picture came from) Some of those dogs are 'speedy'.

Dog dock jumping is entertaining too.

We have a winner. Granted, it's not a huge amount of miles in the grand scheme of things, but I'd like to use them. Just haven't had anything work out schedule/availability-wise.

What about your auto comprehensive? I was covered for hail damage.

I'm more worried about the cost to clean up the tree and the big hole in the ground. I really don't know what kind of damage my car has. It looks fine but the rain I'm sure is hiding the scratches. At least not of the windows broke.

I'm watching the news and there are big trees down all over NJ/NY/PA land. One thing that's bringing down so many trees is the wind is blowing in the opposite direction in normally does when it's this windy.

Glad it missed your house. Sorry about the car. Hopefully when you check later, it will relatively minor.

In related news, the s/o reports a broken xenon headlight from the tree branch. :-:

I take it a regular chain saw isn't going to work with that tree? Maybe you can bribe the city workers to cut it up for you.

As far as the hole in the ground...well that will take some time for you to fill in. You did say you were bored. Now you have something to do and it will also double as some serious exercise time.

Trustguy Mar 13, 2010 4:33 pm

Good afternoon. We suddenly realized that we are going out to dinner with friends, and said dinner would likely result in everyone coming back here afterwards. We have done a serious cleaning session.

Tree too big, about 40 feet. Needs to be chipped
