Just my 2 cents worth (having attended several family weddings) - DJ.
DJ - music is higher quality, more choices, volume can be adjusted. Bands - marginal quality, too loud, limited choices. She asks for the poll and disagrees with the results. |

Fiancee would like me to conduct an informal Box Poll:
Preference at weddings: highly acclaimed band or highly acclaimed DJ? |

The DJ I recommended a few weeks ago. He created an incredibly classy (and very fun) evening that was far from cheesy - several of our guests commented on how great he was. Set up a meeting with him and I can guarantee she will be impressed.

If I had to pick between the two, I'd go with a (non-cheesy) DJ.

We're going with a DJ
Better choice IMHO |

I downloaded the original Super Mario for Wii tonight and it struck me that the bad guys in the 1985 version of the game did not cause ethnic groups to be "offended".
