Uh huh. Yeah. Whatever.
Oh, and their options to Lubbock are a little more frequent. |
Yeah, but I'd still rather connect through IAH and fly CO. Of course this could all change depending on the current merger madness, which I personally hope results in no merger at all.

I must have missed that part whilst drunk. BD would do diddly squat for him if he were a regular UA flyer riding down the back. It's more of a nice mistress to keep on the side if already working another program...

I think I have an extra hole in my head. I just finished reading this thread from start to finish (yay, jetlag!) and i'm speechless yet highly entertained.
I'm glad to see i'm not the only one who wants to make trips just to fill out the flightmemory map, thanks ALCO! |

I swear, UA is the most bipolar airline I've ever flown. When they're great, they're really great. When they're bad, they're REALLY bad.
And while the question of paying for RCC membership was brought up earlier in this thread, it is a godsend during weather delays at ORD. While on a segment run back in Dec i got stuck in ORD and the CS counters were insane. One quick trip after another (due to all the different cancellations), took care of all my issues and i spent less then 20 minutes inline/at a counter all day, and yes, I was there ALL day. |
It gets better. My third, and final, flight of the day was ORD-IAH on a UA Express EMB-170. I had upgraded to F, and during the boarding process, the captain came out to use the front lav. He immediately came out of the lav looking rather disgusted and opened the door to show it to the flight attendant. I heard him say "We can't fly with that." Apparently the toilet was on the verge of overflowing. Maintenance was called, and after a quick inspection, the maintenance guy said "I'm not touching that. Call lavatory service." They came, and said "It's plugged up -- that's a maintenance issue." Maintenance came again and a supervisor was called, and 40 later, the lav was "fixed" by a maintenance guy locking the door, and taping an out of order sign over the door handle. The crew was less than happy, but at this point, we were just short of an hour delay, and a decision was made to go ahead and fly and just deal with it.
About halfway to IAH, I looked up the aisle from where I was seated in 2A, and noticed that the floor in the galley and boarding area was wet. Yep, the toilet had finally spilled out onto the lav floor, and stuff had run under the door. Fortunately there was not really any odor, and the stuff on the floor never made it back to the carpet in the aisle. But it was still rather disgusting to have to walk across it to get off the plane at IAH. |

Yep. But this wasn't really even UA. This was Shuttle America, sister company of our very own Chautauqua.

My Shuttle America flights on DL and UA haven't been bad. Some have even been really good. In fact, I just got off a UA Express EMB-170 operated by Shuttle America, and the flight was great.

Well, not quite a wholesale shuttering. There should be a catharsis period, wherein the most egregious UA employees are placed in the stockade, and we're allowed to throw clods at them :)

Well, apparently, John Mayer flies US: http://blog.honeyee.com/john/archive...cbook_air.html
If you click on the top picture you can see his US Airways ticket. Don't know why I thought that was funny or why I posted it here. |

It appears that the Significant Otter wished to access my onepass account whilst I was in class, to add my upcoming flight to MSY to her schedule. Thing is, she didn't know my pin. Apparently, she didn't know that if you enter the wrong pin repeatedly, it locks the OnePass account...
