Choose that Y routing carefully. Even SEA-ANC can be brutally long.

DL upgrades Plats on reward tickets, correct? I would probably go during the off (or shoulder) season, so I might have a shot at sitting up front for at least part of the Y redemption.

Alaska sees discounts. Destinations like YZF are almost never discounted. :-:

Random Canadian destinations would be definitely be a consideration as well. I'm just not sure how far DL (and partners) could get me there...

Agree, but I had no plans of overnighting.

You edited your itinerary post...I now see what your intentions are. ;)

It is awesome that the wind is blowing the smoke and smell from that plane crash right over to my office. Reportedly it smells like hell outside.

Do these rules also apply on the Frio and Blanco rivers?

The Blanco has some rules that are similar but is pretty much dried up. The Frio is suffering but with the heavy rains it should be back.

Wow. That's the building right by the new church just south of 360 isn't it?

Everytime I try to proceed it says there is an error. sdm1130, did yours actually go through?

...(assuming I can find low-level availability) can get me to Alaska on a mixed F/Y itinerary.

As I have been up there three times lately either on NW or DL, I can tell you that if you can get it, the connection over SLC is the best around.

Second choice would be MSP but that will all be old NW equipment which some do not like very much (I do not mind it).

I have not used SEA-ANC in some number of years and that was on CO and quite a good deal since you do get the PC in SEA which is one of the best in their system and what I had used since DL closed the CRC in SEA (before they moved to the satellite).

Thanks for the input. SLC would include a new dot and, of course, a few new lines. Have you flown AS in F up to ANC? Any thoughts on that?
