Where exactly in the process did it ask for your OnePass #? All of my confirmations detail the miles offer but it never specifically asked for the number. Or was that part of the info when you generate the offer code?

Why waste the time? Neither of them will be governor in a red state. How did Ann Richards become governor of this state?

I believe there is enough antipathy towards Perry that, if the match-up is between Perry and White, White stands a decent shot of winning. I doubt a Perry candidacy would do much to motivate a significant segment of Republican voters on election day. My mother, for instance, will never vote for a Democrat as long as she lives. Likewise, she has forsworn ever voting for Perry again. On election night, she may just stay home.

The online registration process does not ask for your OP# but it should show up automatically on chase.com a few days after you open the account.

BTW did anyone here listen/watch the Tx Democratic Gov Debates?

I found it highly entertaining!

I loved this line: "When I am the Tx government no one will be unemployed!"

Yes, he said government, not governor.

Unfortunately, nothing he says or does will overcome the fact that, in this state, he will never be elected because his name is Farook. Also because he would be a horrible governor, but that's just my opinion.

Plus, Shamwow is an avid Israel hater, that won't win in Texas. He says he created jobs.. yes, he did. My ol' station interviewed former workers who stated the wages kept them near the poverty line, there were no benefits. The fact that he brought his factory back to the states is

Hah, Shamwow is a great nickname.

That makes two of us. It takes some considerable effort to make Bill White look good, and Rick Perry does it well.

It was really close with Richards. 49% to 47% I believe.

Neither White nor Shami are good candidates in my opinion. White has no personality really and that'll be his downfall.

In other news, I saw the map for the proposed high-speed rail system. It connects DFW, SAT, OKC, TUL, and AUS but not IAH. IAH and SAT will be linked by traditional rail...

If anything, I-10 between IAH and SAT just needs an extra lane on each side.

Yeah, but I've gotta drive east to go north via the high speed? It's like someone wasn't thinking.

I thought Texas' (TxDOT's) failure to have a meaningful HS Rail plan (a passenger rail division of TxDOT wasn't formed until a few months ago) resulted in us being allocated almost none of the $8bn allocated to rail under the stimulus package. IIRC, Florida, Illinois, and California received the bulk of the funds, as they had developed more than the basic rudiments of a plan (like a plan for securing right-of-way, and environmental impact studies).

Oh, they're actually linking IAH to SAT airports? Crimony, that's a horrible idea.

It's my understanding that we'll still get an allocation.

It's not specific where the link-up points will be. My guess is in Houston it will be the new transmodal terminal that's planned for the 290/610 interchange and in San Antonio it will be somewhere near the airport.
