I concur. And offer up the following phrase: good enough for government work.

Because I live in AUS and the regional IRS processing center is here, I thought about driving over there and throwing it over the fence or something but I considered the very real possibility that my doing so would cause a slight delay in processing. :-:

No, i believe it's Kyoto. They are the ones that make the current 777 BF seat.

This is also why ANA's new seat launch has been delayed as that was the manufacturer of said seat.

I got that email from ANA - apologies for having to scrub the 77W launch date.

OpenSkies is starting ORY-IAD in May. Does this mean they aren't dragging BA in to the ground or is BA just prideful enough that they don't care?

#2 by a longshot.

T6 for departures and TBIT for arrivals?

Exactly.

I don't think the T6 arrivals facilities are really used. Even UA buses all their arrivals to TBIT.

I wanted a call from them to notify my seat was not ready yet :D

Further commentary on BA: for those who have not read the BA/VS book, this line is contained therein, and it speaks volumes about the mindset of BA even today.

Maybe they did call you, but you were unable to pick up before they dialed because you are a mere General Member and not  Sapphire. @:-)

Do they really? I remember reading that there was a cluster of UA arrivals that used the facilities in T6, with only the early (?) arrivals sent to TBIT. Of course, UA has cut so much at LAX that there may not be enough flights left to justify keeping T6's customs/immigrations facilities open.

Has anything changed at LHR or will I have to clear immigration to get to the terminal shuttle? I am going from Terminal 4 to Terminal 1.

I need to get that book. That attitude is exactly why India has struggled so in the last century or two.

As long as your bags are checked through, I believe you can take the shuttle that runs between terminals on the secure side. No need to exit security. That said, I've never done it so I defer to those who have.
