It's all about Tim Hortons for me when it comes to chain-store donuts in the NYC area.

Do they really? I remember reading that there was a cluster of UA arrivals that used the facilities in T6, with only the early (?) arrivals sent to TBIT. Of course, UA has cut so much at LAX that there may not be enough flights left to justify keeping T6's customs/immigrations facilities open.

I've done LHR and FRA in the last 16 months and they both arrived into T6 but we were bused to TBIT.

They may open T6 for the SYD/NRT flights, but i can't say for certain.

Oh no. A box flu virus. Quick everyone, package yourself in plastic and hide in an overhead compartment.

Didn't the virus start with those blankets? ;)

Likely so. I'm pretty sure that there are no customs/immigration facilities in the T6/7/8 complex.

T6 has a full customs facility for the end gates, just not used much.

Supposedly they're headed my way, but Krispy Kreme tried it a few years ago and failed.

When do you leave?

Speaking of back-ups. I carry an extra Passport Photo with me when I travel.
Was in the UK and PP was stolen, having that back-up photo saved my backside

Friday afternoon. It takes them about 5 hours, from initial appointment, to make a passport (and it's about $220 for same-day service, after all the associated fees). I don't expect much from the passport expediter, after my recent conversation with them. If they can't get the passport back to me in time, and have the audacity to charge me for their "services," I'll be happy to dispute the charge with Amex. A breach/promissory estoppel/DTPA claim (their clerk expressly assured me I would have the passport back in time for my travel, and there was notice of special circumstances written on their visa processing paperwork), just wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

Yup! His wife is pretty gorgeous to say the least. And, she seems like a really nice young lady too. I saw her on the Today show this morning being interviewed.

Finally yesterday they were delivered around 9pm and the bouquet consisted of one wilted rose, what appeared to be a dandylion, a twig, and a smattering of grass clippings. Needless to say, I had to look-up the number to 800-FLOWERS to complain.

I'm, of course, very understanding of the delay due to weather, but they should have continued to delay it until they could have provided what I ordered, as opposed to what appeared to be the "compost heap special."

[/random snowmageddon story]

800-deadflowers is off my ordering list. I sent flowers to GF in MD, and local florist did not deliver them on the day scheduled, nor leave them with the neighbor. Weather was nice and cool so could have left them on the front porch like others have done. Just a note saying the florist would call to schedule a delivery time. Florist never called. 800-deadflowers did not seem to want to get involved and contact the florist, and would not help me ID florist so I could talk to them. After 3 days florist finally delivered flowers. However, I had given up with lack of deadflowers.com help and canceled my order the day before and got a credit.

Meanwhile, I used FTD to send more flowers, from a different local florist, which arrived on time, fresher and better looking. Original florist did not contact deadflowers.com to complain about not getting paid for the order, or to talk to the person who placed the order (me) but called GF. Then showed up to take flowers back from her.
