Aha. Yeah, I guess that's an option - I so hope it doesn't come to that, but what can you do. Apparently there's a runway working at IAD, but DCA (from which I'm supposed to depart) and BWI are still shut down.

Afternoon, Box. Fever is up to 100.7. :( I am a very pathetic houseguest indeed. Watching Arsenal getting smacked around by Chelsea, drinking diluted Gatorade, attempting to regulate the chills and sweating, and trying to get SOME work done...

Glad to hear you are having a good time.. And, you're a crazy (fun) guy, so three days of craziness is right up your alley! :D:D:D

What is LBGTers? PM if not suitable for public consumption :D:D

That is suitable for open discussion as it has been stated!! Other pictures, thoughts, ideas, of this past weekend may not be ;)

It is for safety of course, proving runs.

I believe October is the target right now for operation. I have some pseudo-internal communication to that effect that I'll dig up and share.

G'morning from the Sheraton Princess whoever in HNL. Not as big a craphole as I was led to believe it would be. Had a great time out with FTers last night and somewhat surprisingly not particularly hung over this morning. I am, however, a walking space heater thanks to a pretty miserable sunburn I got yesterday. Gonna make the long flights home a bit painful. :(

Only halfway. I find it totally within the realm of possibility that you may get the occasional complaint email regarding my posting style.

No. He did a simple search after the panty bomber and found out who was posting the most in TSS. I was in the top 20  I've had other correspondance just like others in the Box have that aren't related to the Box.

Which of the two HNL hotels you've been in do you think it is ovral better? I was considering that Sheraton based on Box recomendations.

Hello Box.

The final flight home (PTY-JFK) was uneventful. Had some very flirtatious Panamanian FAs on this leg, which was fine by me. Business class had only 6 out of 16 seats filled, and Coach was barely half full. At ~1:15 AM, got through passport control and customs in 10 minutes with no checked bags.

All in all, a great trip. Stau tuned for a separate thread where we'll push for a shower at the PTY lounge.

Good morning Box. Another survivor of the HNL dinner reporting for duty.

I need to start looking for full time work again. Maybe next week I'll start up again, maybe not. I have to get ready to teach a heavily revised course next week.

They are sufficiently comparable that I'd book on price. The Park Shore has the free wifi in the lobby/pool area which is nice. I'm tethered to my phone here now for access. And the rooms here are a touch larger but that doesn't really do much for me.

What is worse is having your children's high school principal (who you have met only once) remember your name 2 yrs after you first met.

Yes I am on their speed dial thanks to a rather lovely daughter, who has finally made it to college, and my son who thinks that talking in class counts as towards a good grade for classroom participation.

I had a professor in College who was a Transgender. Older gentleman. This is back in the 1980's. He became the subject of a BBC documentary when he finally completed his surgical transition (is that how one would describe it?) and he and his wife of 20+ years decided to stay together and become "best friends" instead of husband and wife. I was very moved by that.

There is a very interesting book on this subject. It's called "The Boy who would be Queen". I found it very informative if you know nothing on this subject. The title could also be The Man who would be Queen.
