Not unreasonable, sadly. I wouldn't want to keep a bar open in a blizzard...some of the people who would come in and stay are an open invitation for the owner to get nailed on dram shop laws.

It's not that kind of calendar.

Well I wouldn't say that exactly. ;)

Buenas noches, Box.

Iīm at the PTY airport waiting for my last leg of the trip, PTY-JFK. The entire return was upgraded in advance and I got 2B on both legs. A daytime departure out of MEX should be on the wishlist of every traveler - the views of the mountains and volcanoes was AMAZING.

BTW, I am going to task us with the mission of persuading the powers that be at CO and COPA to build showers in the PTY Presidentīs Club. I will start a separate thread sometime on Sunday.

P.S. The air in MEX is beyond horrible. Literally made my nose sting for the entire time I was in Mexico.

Too bad you can't ask for compensation.

P.P.S. Copa does use the AM lounge at MEX, and the bartender forces everyone to do at least 1 tequila shot upon entering.

Was it decent tequila at least?

Some of the best gigs we've ever played have been during horrible weather. The audience is appreciative (sp) and stays until the last song....then begs for more.

I'm heading out to go see a friend's band....actually, their drummer wasn't available tonight so I was asked to fill in but couldn't due to our gig. Their show is still on while mine's not.

Had I gone there and set up, compensation would have been in order. We tell bars we play at that we get paid to drive and carry gear....playing the show is free. We've gotten burned before when we were totally set up and almost ready to start when another band showed up (the owner had double-booked us). They told us to break down our equipment so the other band could play and we got no pay at all.

Quite good, actually.

To keep it slightly airline theme, colpuck may need to be drinking from one of the mini bottles or one of the tiny plastic cups. It would be real nice if there was a beverage cart next to the pool and empties on the ground

I've been elsewhere online teaching. Now I really do need to start thinking about dinner.

Great idea. @:-)

We might have to photoshop the beverage cart since I only know of two people that own them personally. Not sure if we can borrow one from Chelsea in EWR unless we set the shot up there. Kiddy pools are easy to set up and it might be interesting to do the shot from the loading dock at Chelsea.

Have to run that one by CO Insider for approval.

edit: maybe we could have a few of those pouch foiled premium drinks tossed around too.
