I can tether to my BB just fine. And they have a guest WiFi network that is humming along great for my laptop. The problem was getting a system on their production network so I could actually make changes on the server. I'm all hooked up now (and was able to take a 15 minute break to give an interview in the mean time) so I actually have to work n:rolleyes:w.

Reward yourself by pouring yourself a Capt. Sully with dinner tonight. Two shots of Grey Goose and a splash of water. :D

aloha box.

CO needs to really change their B-up receipts. I did the book and call later for the upgrade so my receipt would reflect the Y cabin and the woman I spoke with told me "you didn't book an insta-upgrade fare. I can't upgrade you."

Hang-up, call back. Heard this:

"Since you're within 5 days for the flight, the B-up is no longer eligible, so you have to go through the normal EUA process."

Hang-up, call back.

"I have to ask my Supervisor...."

Third time was the charm. But, still, that was a load of .

(I'm not going to post this in the main forum, as I don't want to give anyone any ammo.)

Hmmmm.....where to go for fiancee's birfday this year. She took that week off and I'm considering burning the HH points. The cheapest city on our domestic wishlist so far is SAT. LAS and MSY also not horrible fare-wise.

SAT is a great idea, especially if she's never been. There is a Hilton right on the Riverwalk that is pretty centrally located.

Riverwalk, Alamo, and what else? I remember from my limited time there that you could see the jist of SAT in at most 48 hours. True or no?

Go to MSY for the food. We made Gumbo this weekend and had to go to the store several times to get more rice to go with it..mmmmmm....

Riverwalk, Alamo, Market Center, Tower of the Americas, and there's the military bases if you're so inclined. Throw in a river boat tour and perhaps a carriage ride if that is her thing. If you wanted to do the a theme park (Sea World or Six Flags Fiesta Texas) that could eat up a day, but your mileage may vary on that one. Brackenridge Park is also really pretty with the Japanese Tea Gardens nearby.

When looking for airfare, keep AUS in mind as it's only about an hour by car from AUS to SAT. It may or may not save you a few bucks.
