Unfortunately,my pre-early flight internal clock for this morn has me up and wide awake at 4 am. Had the *real* alarm set for for 5:50, but looks like I'm up for good now.

Wind is wipping off the lake here in CLE, banging shutters etc, but looks like only 2" or so of snow on the ground. CLE-SJU showing as on schedule.

Hawai'i or profoundly bad snowstorm is frustrating but not too tough a choice.

Nor is Tortola vs. mildly bad snowstorm.......get me out of here.

I can't wait. Will be sleeping on a sailboat for the next 7 nights with the trade winds as AC. :)

Good Morning Box.

There wasn't any snow up at the hotel, but we do have snow () at home. Roads are still mostly untreated, so it's a little slick out there.

Morning Box. I can't tell how much snow I have from drifting. I have between a dusting and 10 inches if I look outside.

That's a lot easier to watch with out all the beeps when it was on SNL

I take it from the "nearby" statement that you aren't in Waikiki as I think there's a law that at least three ABC stores must be in visual site at all times.

Made it to the hostel in Hilo. Pretty busy here, moreso than I expected. Had organic Hawaiian vodka on the flight over. Not terrible stuff. Very much looking forward to sleep after a 24 hour day if travel.

Good to here you made it. Enjoy one of the nicer islands.

There's a box hater out in the general part of the forum.

What part on NJ are you in, central?
We did not get anything (yet) here on Passaic/Bergen County line

We were at the Westin in Morristown where there was no snow around 6:30 this morning. I'm now back down in Somerset county where we only have about 3" and more falling.

Elkridge, Maryland, two miles west of Baltimore, hit by 30.2 inches of snow with more falling at rate of 3-4 inches - NBC News

I really enjoyed staying at the Westin in Morristown a few months ago. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and local area. ^

There is no snow up hear. I am about 2 miles from the Plaza*

*Garden State Plaza

Yeah, I like the Westin - especially for a local Starwood stay credit (and an easy upgrade)! Morristown is a pretty nice area - lots of bars, restaurants, some shopping and lots of history.

I heard on the news this morning that the storm didn't track quite as far north as they anticipated, so a lot of the northern parts of the state were not going to see more than a dusting. You may have lucked out! :)

No, their flight from IAH was canceled around the same time mine was on Thursday. We've rescheduled the DCA-SFO run for April.

Great, I never bothered to gas up my truck or the snow thrower. :-:
