The website does not allow you to book a specific fare class (i.e. H or Y) and enter the ONEPASS discount code at the same time. The discount code reverts the ticket to the lowest available class.

I managed to get around this by booking the appropriate fare class, using the pay with cash option and then calling the continental.com support desk to correct the fare cost for me.

Trip Alert & Flight Status & other email

Trip alert still appears flakey. I just changed email addresses on co.com to see if that fixes it.

100% of the time no trip alert for any flight operated by Chautauqua Airlines, Inc. dba Continental Express.

Occasionaly, I'll get an trip alert for ontime departures for my 2nd segment when connecting to mainline from a Chautauqua Airlines flight. My understanding that we were NOT supposed to get alerts for connections (though I think we should.. I want to know when I turn my phone on during taxi in if I have to rush off the plane for a B to E connection. NOTE: THIS IS A FEATURE REQUEST])

Occasionaly, I will get a trip alert on my return when the first (3rd actually) segment is on a mainline jet.

I have not gotten a trip note in recent memory, though this may be I'm booking too close to departure time.

Finally, when booking a new reservation I always receive the "continental.com Itinerary Information for your trip to city". IMHO this email is utterly useless because it does not have flight times on it. Add another line under each bullet flight that says something like Departs at X:xx arrives at Y:yy (Connection time z:zz)

BUG -->
When attempting to change a 10,000 miles each way domestic reward ticket, flight options are shown at 12,500 miles per segment. Not sure if it actually tries to ticket at this price, as the flight I wanted was not available for reward.

Please sign in to preview enhancements

In the midst of a flight search when I am already signed in, I get this message:

"Please sign in to preview enhancements to continental.com that will be released to the general public in the future.

To sign in, please enter your OnePass number and Personal Identification Number and then click Sign In. "

OK, I think I'll sign in again to preview those enhancements. When I do, I get this message:

! We could not process your request. Please see the message below and make revisions.
Please sign in to preview enhancements to continental.com that will be released to the general public in the future.

....

! The preview.continental.com Web site is limited to invited customers."

Gee, I thought I was just invited! Guess I didn't make the cut. Then why did you interrupt my flight search?

Not sure if this qualifies for posting here, please advise if not. I'm just a lowly non-elite trying to build up some miles, and a click-thru shopping link isn't working. Specifically, I'm trying to click thru to Sephora, and from co.com, I get page cannot be displayed, but I go into another window and go to sephora.com and it comes up fine. I'd like to get miles for said purchase. This has happened before with Dell, and it was out of whack for several weeks, but I am new to FT and saw this thread. I have lurked and done some posting and I've seen how newbies get treated, so all I ask is an answer to my problem.

Changed ticket online, receipt shows old itin, seat selector shows the new

I admit I did not search...shoot me.

Tonight I changed one leg of a multi segment itinerary I had that starts tomorrow, if it matters I am already checked in. I did it 100% online with the change being a flight returning Thursday and not on Friday. During Seat selector I was offered the first class cabin for seating (I had been EUAd on the former flight) and selected my seat. After the purchase I was sent an e-Receipt then I noticed it displayed the former flight I had reserved but displays no AC or meal information on the receipt. I see the same thing online via my account. I called the plat elite line and they see the new return date of Thursday on the receipt and offer to send me an email with the receipt. The receipt they sent shows the old return date.

For my flight change I think I am OK, this seems like a display bug to me.

For the record I am using Netscape 7.2 with Windows 2000 Pro on a DELL D600 laptop.

The reward calendars are (once again) showing standard BusinessFirst and coach availability, but no flights are available at the standard level when actually clicking on the dates on the calendar.

Some Multi Segment Trips not giving Check In Notices via email

Pretty sure its been reported, I didn't find it searching though.

I haven't put my finger on what the exact cause is but recently I have noticed that I only get email check-in online notices for some flights. I thought it was related to multi-segment flights but last week I flew one and it worked without an issue with all email notices being received.

Any ways, two weeks ago I flew CLE-EWR-LIS return CPH-EWR-CLE and no online checkin notices.

Last week I flew CLE-BOS, BOS-EWR-RIC, RIC-CLE and received email notices for checkin.

This week CLE-LGA, EWR-TPA, TPA-CLE and no email notices for checkin.

FWIW, only this weeks flight had any modifications done to it after purchasing at CO.COM.

It looks like the problem of getting another user's profile is still occurring. I just went to continental.com, and it displayed another OnePass member's account information on the home page. When I clicked on "View Account Details," I was able to see their home address, email address, phone number, etc.

Scott, I am going to send you an email with the details, since this strikes me as a potentially serious security issue...

Minor seat map display issue

When making a reservation and choosing the "view seats" option:

"Select" the first flight of your itinerary.
Click, "view seats" on the second segment. The second segment (chosen) seat map displays (which is correct).
Click the first segment's tab. The first segment seat map displays correctly.
Click the second segment tab again. A different flight's seat map shows up, which is not likely the correct behavior.

This occurred again on a few routes I tried today (11/3), as well.

with the new release..

applying a etc is "hit" and "miss" ..

sometimes it takes, other times not...

never gives a chance it was applied before the final purchase..

Have had problems with 'Check Flight Status' for the past week or so. Select a city pair in the from/to window, and hit 'enter'.

Gives the alert:

! We could not process your request. Please see the message below and make revisions.

! Please enter the Depart Date. Enter all dates in the format mm/dd/yyyy.

Calendar always defaults to yesterday's date.

ETC Functionality

I bought a couple of flights using $100 ETCs, when I looked at my CC bill, it had the full purchase price, and I went back to look at the ETicket receipts which showed the CC charged for the full amount with no mention of the CERT, where it used to have CERT and then an add/collect for the remainder.

Awards

The DL and AF reward inventory shows up now on a search from SFO-TLV but the AF flights incorrectly price @ 180k RT for BF rather than the Series 10 price of 120k for business.

Enter key still doesn't work

The Sign In page doesn't function properly in Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9).

I'll enter my PIN and hit the Enter key, see the flash animation, and am brought right back to the Sign In screen. No error message, nothing.

I have to actually click the "Sign In(Secure)" button to get past this screen.

Things work properly in IE.

Seat Map issue

I can't reserve an open seat on a flight. I select the seat I want and click continue but the seat doesn't "take" on my itinerary. I even tried the old trick to select a seat and then view another leg prior to "conitinueing" to see if that worked. No dice.

I also got an AU on a Y fare but there don't appear to be any seats open in First. Is this normal? I don't think I have seen this one before.

I got a complimentary upgrade notification for a flight I was on from IAH-EWR. Please note I was already traveling in F (paid R) so unclear why I got the notification.

Hartmann Nov 28, 2007 7:57 am

The seatmap bug is worse than I thought...

I selected seats, clicked "Continue", then returned to change the seats and it randomly assigned new ones.

I actual did this and had to talk with the web support desk and reported the problem. It seems that you have to hit the button next to the ETC information that reads "Certificate Value" once you hit that it will then apply the value I believe. This may be because of the residual value that you can now get on the certificates. I explained to the website support person that most people know the value of their certificate and thus wont hit that button and thus not apply the value. It seems like he didnt report as it is still there as of today.

On the travel club FAQ page, it says:

"How much does it cost to join?
Annual membership is available for only $25.00 (subject to change). With the $5 you get back every time you purchase a ticket at continental.com, you can earn that money back in just two trips."

$10 was the old fee, I believe. When you guys increased the fee to $25, you didn't adjust the following math appropriately.

Booked an award ticket on Continental with Northwest miles (through northwest) but can't select exit row seating on continental.com.

I am Northwest Platinum elite, my Northwest number is in the record, but it's not recognizing the status.

Hmmm... I renewed over Thanksgiving weekend and was surprised when the confirmation page stated $10 instead of $25. My CC statement, however, verifies that $25 was indeed charged.

Transferring Points

A friend of mine tried to transfer some Continental One Pass points last night to another Guest Rewards program and was on the phone with a bunch of different people for 30 minutes only to find out that the call center was closed. The card is a Chase Continental One Pass credit card. The number on her statement was not the number you need to call but another number. What number does she call to transfer One Pass points? Thanks!

EUA isn't 'working for flight 1877 on Dec 9... there is upgrade inventory on that flight.

cova Dec 5, 2007 7:09 pm

EUA did not run on Dec 5th for flight 726 on Dec 10th. There was F bucket availability both immediately before and after EUA time. No one has been EUA'ed on for flight 726 for Dec 10, 2007.

EUA did run on Dec 5th for flight 658 on Dec 10th. This flight is later in the day.

EUA's are being sent to my regular email, eventhough my profile has EUA set to send EUA as text message to my cell phone.

Also, all of my email subscriptions were "unsubscribed" eventhough I never changed the subscriptions. Appears there is a new presentation screen for emails.

Attaching ETC to a CO.com account, plus other question

I'm sure this has been answered before, but since the forum's search does not allow for searches of words less than 4 letters, it's really hard to search for acronyms.

I have two ETCs: one on paper and one on email, which means I'll probably lose both of them... and one is personal and one is for one client for whom I only travel ~quarterly which means I'm not sure when I'll use them.

Is there a way to attach them to my CO.com account prospectively so that when I'm booking an applicable ticket I can just click on the proper ETC, or do I have to just keep them safe until I'm booking the flight on which I wish to use them? Nevermind on this question... just found it... "Promotional Certificates" under "Deals and Offers"

Also, one (paper) is due to expire... anybody have any luck getting them extended?

One last question that is totally OT for this thread: If I use an ETC to pay for travel, do I still get EQM/EQP? i.e. could I use the personal one if I need a mileage run (I'm currently sitting 4 points short and my trip next week got cancelled).

Print receipt then cannot login

Logged into CO.com.
Checked in for tomorrows flight and after I printed my BPs, I clicked print receipt. At the next screen it Thanked me for Checking In at CO.com and presented me with two buttons (print receipt and reprint BPs). I clicked the "My Account" link in the upper right corner to return to My Account. It gave me the account login screen but even with the correct login it resends you back to that same screen.

I tried both netscape 7.2 and IE 6 using WIN2K.

Cheers,
Eric

I'm currently in the midst of an itineray that started last week for EWR-NRT-GUM-NRT-EWR. I had a stopover in NRT and am now in Guam and i'm flying back on Saturday. The itinerary no longer shows up as an active itin. I can pull it up by PNR but when I save it, it never does and stays in the 'Past' category.

I've seen this happen before a fair amount after i make my initial flight even though there is an active return in the future.

Also, with Firefox, when trying to do an advanced search and specifying a fare class. If I click back to 'lowest fare' but leave the fare class in, it complains. If I check 'lowest fare' it should ignore the fare class box, but it doesn't.

Citi Premier 20,000 Bonus Points

OP number dropped when booking on CO.com

Last night I booked a MR trip on CO.com while logged in to my account. The trip I booked is Y-class AUS-IAH-AUS and the Y-up logo was showing with the two legs I booked. As I completed the itin, though, I was never offered a chance to upgrade and the seats I was assigned were in Y.

Once the ticketing finalized I called the Elite desk and asked about upgrading and was told that there were no upgrades available. Today I called again (and didn't have my PNR# with me) and found out that my OP # was not on my itin. The agent added the OP# and I upgraded immediately on both flights.

I can't recall the CO.com ticketing system dropping my OP# before. I know I was logged in because I didn't have to enter any pax or billing info.

Tripalert issue (flt cancellation)

Not sure if it's co.com or something else...

Last night, my wife received a tripalert that her flight this AM (ewr-mdw) was canceled. She called, rebooked to ORD... everything was good. At around 12:15AM we were awakened by her Cell... it was an automated message from continental telling her that her flight (no ID as to what flight) was canceled or delayed. We assumed it was ewr-ord, but no, it was a badly delayed notification about the original ewr-mdw flight.
