EUA->incorrect EQM on site
Might have been reported before... but after an EUA, the segment shows zero EQM. I thought that was an old problem long since fixed.

Travel Club funny math
2 * $5 = $25
http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...ravelclub.aspx How much does it cost to join? Annual membership is available for only $25.00 (subject to change). With the $5 you get back every time you purchase a ticket at continental.com, you can earn that money back in just two trips. |

Once the ticketing finalized I called the Elite desk and asked about upgrading and was told that there were no upgrades available. Today I called again (and didn't have my PNR# with me) and found out that my OP # was not on my itin. The agent added the OP# and I upgraded immediately on both flights. I can't recall the CO.com ticketing system dropping my OP# before. I know I was logged in because I didn't have to enter any pax or billing info. Now I'm trying to explain the concept of MRs to my mom. |
CC on file is no longer selected as Default Payment
Recently (like after the preview site started) when I purchase a ticket logged into CO.com the default CC on my account is not being selected when I get to the purchase confirmation pages. I have to manually select the radio button to select a CC payment, but not the CC itself.
It would be nice if it was like it used to be where it assumed I wanted to use my default payment information when purchasing a ticket. Yes its only one radio button to select but why did it change. Cheers, CLEHillBilly |
Intl Checking and it lists the WWW page in text format
Checking in today for return flight to the USA. The miles from the flight over have posted but the itinerary in my account still shows the outbound flight information. The checkin now button is available and after getting passed the passport information page the first class upgrade screen is at the bottom of the page, above it is a long listing of every available link on the CO home page in text format. Clicking yes to check for upgrades it shows this same format of text above the checkin links at the bottom, getting to the Finish check in button it then displays "unable to complete checkin". :( So much for any chance of an upgrade. Along with the Merry Xmas email I didn't recieve its been a winner of a day with CO.
Thanks, CLEHillBilly P.S. This itinerary and day is just begging for me to find out later the travel club credits will not be there..... Edited: 11 Hours after trying 5-7 times with the same errors it is now all of a sudden working...Whip-dee-doo...why didn't it work in the first place?....CO wants me to use my cell phone and PDA for a boarding pass? They can't even reliably check me in from a normal www browser...lets get our priorities right with CO.com. The basics must work before reaching for the stars. |
Despite Co.com knowing this is an ongoing problem, STILL cannot book full Y with Chase 5% discount. Very frustrating.

Mileage Differs
Apologies if this has been covered in the previous 27 pages. I did a search and did not find this topic.
Has anyone else experienced my problem? The front page for My Account at continental.com shows my total miles at 152,510. Click through to All Account Activity and it shows 132,510. It has been like this for 10 days, so it is not a case of a 20,000 mile re-deposit waiting to be fully credited. I have written to OP, and of course they answer that my balance is the lower figure, and that I have "never had" a balance of 152,510. Anyone else experience this? |
Slight security issue
Login to continental.com, have an itinerary which you can see the summary for on the front page. Click on "View". It prompts me for my OnePass number and PIN (I assume for some sort of security reasons). If I enter my wife's OnePass number and PIN (or I assume any valid one), it logs me into my wife's account, but shows me all of the details of my flight. I also assume it would allow me to make changes or cancel the flight.
Personally, I'm not sure that it needs to prompt you for the OP# & PIN, but someone decided that it needs to for security reasons. Whatever these reasons are, they are defeated by the fact that you can enter any valid OP# & PIN and manage the reservation. Sorry if this has been covered...I didn't see it. |
Trying to book IAH-FCO in BF and I get an error saying no BF is available on IAH-FCO market (flight #'s from IAH-EWR and EWR-FCO are the same).
Yet, if I look at the other flights out of IAH and the connection on CO40 in EWR, there is availability. |

I had this problem too... .is best to book first and call for discount later or book non-Y and call for Y later.....or just wait them to fix it? |
OnePass Auction Site - Coming Soon reports some erroneous time remaining
I was browsing the OnePass Auction site and clicked on the "Coming Soon" area. For each listing there is a column marked "Time Remaining", the number it posts seems erroneous. For example one post reported 10 hrs as the time remaining, yet clicking on the details for the listing it reported that the bidding starts on Feb. 1, 2008.

co.com is down
Edit: its back up |
I have a ticket booked in full 'Y' that i'm trying to change. I've tried both the "Refundable" and "Full Fare" options when searching for replacements, but it continues to only give me non-refundable options which would pull me out of Y.

My last flight showed on CO.com as 0% EQM rather than 100%. However, it appears to have been credited properly.

Today, logged on to my account and future trip had schedule changes - okay, no big deal - no issues - except flight BOS-LHR leaves at 7:45 p.m. and arrives the same day at 7:15 a.m. - um, I don't think so. Called the Int'l desk to discuss with them and they acted like I was crazy, then said they can't see co.com and if I have an issue, I could talk to the co.com desk - sigh, so now I'm hold with them. I realize it's a little glitch, but I don't want to accept the changes until I am sure that there are truly no issues and the int'l desk was less than helpful (and less than friendly, unusual for the elite line).

Seat map problems
I went to co.com to try to check F/C seat availability for some flights that might have platinum upgrades clear for me tomorrow. I went through a normal reservation process, pretending to be booking first class for the following:
1/11 CO1766 SEA-IAH 1/11 CO1748 IAH-FLL For the return flight, I went down to: 1/14 CO249 FLL-IAH 1/14 CO467 IAH-SEA and clicked on "view seats" for CO249. It showed me the seat map for CO249 on 1/14. So far, so good. I went and looked at the seats in first in 1766 and 1748 on 1/14 (switched to the SEA-IAH and IAH-FLL tabs). All looked fine. Here's where it gets bizarre. When I go back to the FLL-IAH tab, it shows the seat map for CO149! This is an earlier flight. I have no idea why it does this, but it is reproducable every time. The IAH-SEA tab is correct (CO467). |
Co.vacations
This is I suppose a minor gripe but.....
When you use the drop-down menu on co.com to link to vacation packages it goes to covacations.com. This is a separate website with no means available to navigate back to co.com A simple "Return to Co.com hom" button would be nice :) |
The back button works for me. Just sayin'

I'm just saying .....it's bad web design .....it gives the *appearance* that you are remaining within the co.com website ....if you're gonna link offsite then make the default to open in a new page or something |
EUA Notifications are being sent to my regular email addrress, even though my profile is set to have them sent as text to my cellphone.
The cellphone text message address does work. |
Can't buy online within 24 hours of departure !?
Today, Wednesday, I tried to buy a one-way domestic coach (SA0NN fare) ticket on a flight leaving at 6:05 AM Thursday morning. Continental.com kept giving me an error right after the Traveler Information page. The error message was, "Error: We're sorry, but continental.com was unable to complete your purchase. Please try your purchase later or call 1-800-300-1547 for assistance."
I called the support number on the error page, and was told that for several months now, it hasn't been possible to buy a ticket online within 24 (yes, twenty-four, not four) hours of departure. I bought the ticket over the phone, which means I may not get full EQM nor any EQP. (After repeatedly failing to sell the lowest fare, Continental.com was apparently willing to sell me a full YL fare for the same flights. I canceled out before buying the Y fare, and then called the support line, explicitly requesting the SA0NN fare. The ticket ended up with the same confirmation number as the full-fare one I had cancelled out of buying.) Does anyone know whether it's actually a new CO policy not to sell next-day discount fares online? Or was this some other error combined with a misinformed phone agent? |
If you use Opera as your browser you have to enter your pin and then click the Enter button. Hitting the keyboard return after entering the (correct) pin returns you to the pin prompt. This doesn't happen in IE7.

CO Auction and email for a winning Bid
Bidding for an CO auction I noticed the following email from co has a bug in it. It sent me the following but is missing some data:
Here is a sample of the email I recieved: Your maximum bid for this auction is: XXXXX.00 Miles. The highest bid for this auction is: Miles. You currently have a winning bid for this auction. The SmartBid system will bid on your behalf, but will not exceed your maximum bid. Your winning bid is valid for a quantity of 1 unit(s). If you notice the second line does not display the miles for the highest bid, I think the intention of the email is to display that information. Regards, CLEHillBilly |
I've had success finding reward travel tickets via Continental.com, but wasn't able to book my ideal itinerary using the website (well, at least at "standard" level rewards), had to call customer service (and pay the fee  ) and have them book it for me. The trick was to simply find that each individual leg was available as a standard award on the date I wanted to travel.
Example: ORF-SIN showed availability only at Easy Pass levels, 120K miles for economy (NO THANKS!!!), but finding availability from ORF-IAH, then IAH-NRT, then NRT-SIN all available on the same day, I called customer service, and after a little prompting, the agent was able to book it for me for 60K miles. I was unsuccessful in getting them to waive the fee for booking something the website couldn't connect the dots on. |

Nit-picking...
1. If more than one member on a single PNR has signed up for trip alerts, only one gets them - if last name is same, seems to be person who's first name is alphabetically first.
2. On many pages, the default action for "CR" is wrong... for example, type into a search box and hit return - search doesn't happen. 3. Some trip alerts are received days after the flight :(. 4. Is it possible to have the passport number automatically entered from the PNR when doing OLCI? Tried last night on blackberry, but didn't have my # handy. |
Award calendar showing standard first and economy available when only easy pass is available.

Really weird seat selection problem today. I clicked on my flights for Saturday to JAX 01/19/08 several times. Each time it brought up a flight to IAH on 04/06/06... Cannot for the life of me bring up the current flights. Finally called and sorted out my seats.
Is one of the new "improvements" time travel? If I only knew then what I know now... |
Well, whatever gremlins were making the system hiccup are gone today.:D And I was looking forward to time travel... Or, would that be looking back at time travel?:p
|
I had a small issue to report from a booking today. IAH-HKG, and when I selected a seat, I was often given a different seat in the same row. For example, I'd select 33A, and when moved to the next flight, it would give me 33C for the first flight.
Secondly, on the longhaul of it, I was booked into a blue elite seat instead of regular Y. Since the 772 has power in that row, I kept it. I can PM the reservation over if you'd like. |

Change Flight after upgrading one leg
I upgraded my outbound segment with miles. When I attempt to change the return segment (not upgraded) to another flight it brings up the reward search -searchResultReward1.aspx. This issue only seems to only happen with an upgraded itinerary because I can change flights on other reservations without a problem.

Does anyone know how long it takes for continental.com to credit your onepass account with a flight? It's been a couple days now and my flight still hasn't shown up.

I've noticed some issues with domestic flights that share the same number as an international flight.
I am looking at IAH-TLV and there is a stop in ATL and then onwards to EWR before heading to TLV. The ATL-EWR flight is CO84 (same # as EWR-TLV). This results as the flight not showing any BF seats being available. |

My age-old UA/CO mixed-pnr issue still exists.
Flight #1 on UA Flight #2 on CO Both show up on my co.com reservation. Apparently I get OP miles for the UA segment. :) But, the issue that I have now, because the UA segment is there, I can't go change the CO segment and if I try to do it over the phone, they'll want to charge me since it was booked via the corp agent. |
Looks like "I" fares on the new Q400's operated by Colgan in the 3300 flight number range show up as "Business (I)"
Flight: CO2511 Aircraft: Embraer RJ145 Fare Class: Economy (I) Meal: None View Seats Flight: CO3310 Aircraft: De Havilland Dash 8 Q400 Fare Class: Business (I) Meal: None View Seats |
Can't book multiple destination itinerary
Searching for flights 02/19 SAN to PHL (6:30am) and return 02/21 DCA to SAN (5:30pm) I get to the "review ticket details" screen, can click to accept fare rules and pick me as a passenger, but no button exists to click forward (i.e. to purchase ticket). Instead, only "Back" appear. I'd really like to buy this ticket!
