- As a SE, I didn't expect to get the upgrade, but I am not on the standby list for the initial segment. The second segment should clear as an upgrade in an hour or so, but I'm thinking it won't clear me.

The OP rep made it sound like I wouldn't need to remove and readd my OP number. Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

You shouldn't be charged for the bags - they should notice your status at the airport. As to the upgrades, I'd call co.com support asap and have them check into it.

They were just as confused as I am. But, they were friendly about it and took the time to try and help, which I appreciate.

If there is an issue when the second segment processes, then I'll call again. Otherwise, I figure it can all be taken care of at the airport.

Minor issue, but it might be larger than I realize:

The PDA site shows all MDT-EWR aircraft as Beech 1900s. The seat map on the PDA site agrees with the seat selection tool (and the actual aircraft used on this route) which is the Q200.

I noticed this when flying the route recently, and just plugged in a few flights on random days & they all show as B1900 on the PDA site. I know, it won't affect much, if anything, but I was excited when I checked the PDA site and saw the AC was the B1900. I was somewhat disappointed when I got to the gate & saw the Q200.

Called co.com support last night when my upgrade didn't clear. 20 min later, they couldn't fix it and told me that I can fix it when I check-in at BWI. Flight 1527, I'm fine that I'm not up, but I should be on the list. Flight 150, there are 20 seats, 7 booked. There should be a checkmark next to a SOO, N. I see nothing.

They said it was something about the flight being sold out and thus the web system wouldn't display my upgrade. But, I should have appeared on the list and it shouldn't have Available listed on the flight standby list.

I'm going to be really frustrated if this doesn't get sorted out.

Caution: reservations is grabbing the wrong class:

Searched ewr-lhr (r/t) 12/7-12/12, BF.

Clicked on CO28 for the 7th (showed, "D").
Selected CO111 for the 12th ("Z"). Was wondering why the price dropped so dramatically from the first selection page... but hey, you never know...

On the final page, CO28 shows booked into "M". Ouch... no warnings. Someone not paying attention could end up rather displeased - non refundable, wrong cabin.

Seatcounter shows 9 J and 4 D for CO28.

I saved screenshots for co.com support.

Also reporting to co.com support.

In the reservations setting on the homepage, the default setting for number of adults seems randomly to be either 0 or 1. It is helpful for it to be 1, because when it is 0, the website will give an error message, and require an extra step if you didn't notice it before providing flight info.

Homepage now remembers your last flight search and date.

If last search dates < today's date
and
User completes OnePass Sign In and clicks sign in button

Page loads with red error message

Only dates between Nov. 24, 2008 and October... appears underneath middle and right column and extends beyond right margin.

Re - PDA site

Hello: The pda site for CO does now show my name on the u/g list even though there are several seats open. Called elite desk (they had no idea why this is happening). Then, connected to co.com support...they had no idea either. On the whole, the pda site seems to have plenty of problems. Although, i sincerely believe that CO goes strictly by its rules on u/g's, this just raises doubts.

Also, earlier in this thread, I had reported problems with trying to ticket with ZFV (Philadelphia 30th street Amtrak station) as the starting airport. This problem started since co.com was updated. The co.com support staff had no clue why this was happening either. Basically , they said they will "report" the problem to someone. Dont know who else they can report to, when they are the electronic support staff?

A multitude of problems with co.com pricing a multi leg trip. ARGH!

sdm1130 Nov 25, 2008 7:40 am

The boarding pass I got after doing OLCI this morning says "Added to BusinessFirst standby list". This is for a domestic flight on a 753.

missing nyc search

The ability to use NYC as an airport code seems to have disappeared. This was very useful when I was trying to plan an itenerary to compare options out of the different NYC airports on CO.

OLCI Problem: Upgraded at 3-day mark, but asked about upgrade at check-in

Strange issue tonight using OLCI. I was upgraded for my 11/26 flight at the 3-day mark, but when I checked in I was asked the "If an upgrade is available, would you like it?" question. I selected "yes" even though I had already been upgraded, and I got the "The elite upgrade is not available at this time. You've been placed on the standby list." message. But my seat (in first class) and the upgrade fare code (F) were still there. I could understand getting this question if I had multiple legs, but I'm just on one flight. I've never experienced this before, and all's well (I have my BP, I still have the upgrade), but just wanted to report the bug!

I've experienced this as well. I've found the following trick to get co.com to search NYC... Use JFK! If you use JFK, it uses NYC instead, completes the search, and you just get this message:

"! There are no flights available between New York, NY (JFK) and XXXXXXXXXX (XXX). The flight search results from New York, NY (NYC - All Airports) are shown below."

Some in-flight amenity info not the same at pda.continental.com vs. continental.com

I think it's great that all the info from pda.continental.com is now available through the "regular" continental.com, but I've noticed a few discrepancies.

Perhaps the co.com team can take this example and uncover a bug...

CO 330 EWR-RDU on Wed, Nov. 26
Departs EWR at 2:45 PM

pda.continental.com says...
Complimentary Food
Beverage service (time permitting)

continental.com flight info says...
Complimentary Food:
First Class: Dinner
Main Cabin: Light Snack

Clearly the pda site is correct-- it's a short flight and it's not during a meal time. However, if John Q. Public was using the "regular" website and saw dinner in F or a light snack in Y, he might be upset when he found out that wasn't the case...

Incidentally, the info for CO 445, the 6:45 PM EWR-RDU flight, is the same on the pda and regular sites. Go figure.

The 'Inactive' tab on the new co.com is great. However, once a previous cancelled res is reused, the reservation is listed in the Active and the Inactive tabs.

Once a res is rebooked, it should be moved out of the Inactive tab.

theblakefish Nov 26, 2008 7:10 pm

Okay, it seems that CO.com is not showing the correct mileage for flights <500 miles. I am being credited with the right milage when the flights are posted to me account, but in my itinerary for flights I have not flown as of yet.....it doesn't show it correctly. No biggie, but an issue nonetheless.

fozz Nov 30, 2008 1:30 am

I went to look for some reward seats in July for EWR-HKG. While it's J9 D0 Z0, i don't get any options for Easypass.

My understanding was as an elite, I would still be able to redeem easypass awards for anything.

Is anyone else having a problem with getting the Timetable to update? Attempting to load the new schedule results in a load error, and I have to un/reinstall the entire application.

My wife (who does not have status) and infant daughter booked a r/t, IAH-BOS. The only seats left to select were for elite members. So, she couldn't select seats. Are they flying on one of the wings? How about on top of the fuselage? How about opening up elite seats when the back of the plane is full?

Co.com refund not working. Called co.com support and got disconnected after being on with them for 10 minutes so had to call again and they still don't have it figured out

If you call CO.com support and explain that you can't choose seats, they will probably put them in the elite section.

CO elite charged for luggage on codeshare NW flight

Hi, I'm just silver elite, about to make gold, and used miles to fly on NW/Delta over thanksgiving. The Delta leg was 1st class, the NW was coach. I was charged for each bag checked in by NWA. I asked why, since I was elite, and was told NWA did not honor CO elite status. Is this correct? Anyone know why they would nickle/dime a partner elite?

+1. I'm still waiting for a refund on a ticket I had to cancel 4 days ago.

On the new AVOD charts, 772 #006 doesn't have the check mark. But that aircraft has been converted.

What are some ways to earn quick miles? I just signed up for their cc giving me 30k miles. Any other suggestions?

Onepass shopping... fly... purchase miles... get an Amex Plat and "borrow" 60k miles - then transfer... take Amtrak Acela nyc-bos or was... check the co.com website for "earn miles"... etc.

They actually do this on purpose. They like to have more seats available at the gate to be able to put families together and such.

Tried to use ETC for a booking for three people, failed to take because the system "couldn't locate the rules" or something like that. This is the second time I have tried to use an ETC, the second time I'd had trouble. Something needs to be done about the redemption process.

It appears that the email gateways are constipated again. I made a reservation a few hours ago and while I got the initial reservation email, i have yet to see the ticketing email.

On a different note, i have two rewards booked and they are going into limbo waiting for ticketing.

Issues with Elite line and Co.com?

Tried calling elite desk multiple times over the past 30 minutes and got immediate busy signal. Also, connection to co.com is very sloooooooooow and sometimes get "page can not be found".

Anybody else having similar issues?

Scott6067 Dec 11, 2008 9:45 pm

Two problems:

1. The PC amenties page still shows EWR and IAH as the only club with preminum wines while there are now premimum wines in all clubs.

Checking my itineraries today (on tickets booked long ago) there were 2 OTHER RANDOM PEOPLE booked in MY NAME and MY MILES ACCOUNT and Telephone Number on the same itinerary - ...?

fozz Dec 18, 2008 1:32 am

I have a reward reservation to CDG that I went to change the return flight on via co.com. It loaded up all the options and then told me none were available. Though, if i book a new reservation, there are clearly flights available.

nbs2 Dec 18, 2008 7:13 am

Would it be possible to upgrade the seat selector tool to indicate where children and infants are currently seated?

I was just thinking travelling with my daughter (was lap, now seated) is great for me, but there are others who would prefer to be away from in children. In a similar vein, when travelling by myself, I would rather select a seat farther back/forward in Y if I know the front/back of the cabin is already full of kids.

It wouldn't need to ID people beyond that, just the age class of the seat.

Waitlist notification - error message

I received the following today at the 24 hour mark. My spouse has previously also received one of this. I *assume* that it's the expiration of an upgrade waitlist... but then again, I thought the waitlist now persisted past the 24 hour mark:

continental.com reverted back to the old version

Has anyone noticed that continental.com has reverted back to the old version for the past several days, so that the upgrade standby list, where this flight come from, etc. are no longer available? I have to use pda.continental.com/info to check those info.
