COPA Meals

Is there a thread on COPA Meals in the OnePass forum (or anywhere else)? I will be traveling LAX - PTY - GRU in "Executive Class" and I wanted to find out about meal service. Copa website is not too informative when it comes to anything...

Thanks!

Generally two choices for meals. Sundaes for dessert.

Flew on COPA (LIM-PTY) in December. Their meals on economy was far better than CO. Hence I presume that the meals on Business class will also be much better. You will probably get a snack and breakfast.

Copa's PTY-LIM meal, at dinner time on a 3-hour flight in the front cabin, was:

(1) Starter - salad, roll, and a really good chicken + mango salsa dish.
(2) Entree - an excellent beef filet served with au gratin potatoes; or; a pretty good plate of chicken stuffed with olives & tomatoes + spinach pasta.
(3) Dessert - an ice cream sundae cart. (The menu also suggested "ginger creme brulee" was available, but either it wasn't loaded or we missed it because we were in the last row.)

I was very impressed with the quality of the meal and the presentation of the food and menu. It was like being on a tiny, tiny transcon!

The 16-passenger cabin got food and beverage service from just one flight attendant. She was really attentive and did a great job, but I was still surprised that it took the better part of two hours to get everyone dinner. That's most of the flight -- she worked really hard!

Copa ;ate night meals

I flew Copa from SCL (Santiago, Chile) to PTY back in January with a 2am departure. Was upgraded to "Clase Executiva". We were served a full 3 course dinner meal shortly after departure, and then a full breakfast shortly before landing.
If I recall correctly, we were given a menu (similar those found on CO's trans-atlantic flights) with multiple choices for each meal.

I found the food, beverages, and overall service was very good. ^^

Flying Copa again in September out of JFK. Lets see if they are consistant.

Wow! That's a lot of food... I'll let you all know what you get on the 2am departure from LAX after I fly on Saturday morning! I hope we get a 3 course dinner and pre-arrival breakfast! I've flown this route before in Y and we got a cookie/drink service after take off, and then a full hot breakfast (omlet or french toast) prior to landing in PTY.

As an aside, I noticed that most of the people sitting near me from Latin America me tended to choose the French toast option, while the US travelers sitting near me tended to choose the omlet option.

Menu and photos from my recent COPA trip. In general, I think COPA is a very good airline and their service is excellent. They do a good job with keeping you comfortable for flying such long distance routes on small planes. Both of my flights were on aircraft with the new Boeing Sky Interior - this was nice and the first time I really liked a 737!

LAX - PTY Business Class (2am departure)
Amenity kit provided with socks, eye mask, toothpaste, toothbrush, and chap stick.
Large pillow and blanket provided on every seat.

LATE NIGHT SNACK
Cold Cuts platter - cheese, meats, and grapes served with roasted nuts

BREAKFAST
TO START
Seasonal fresh fruits accompanied with cereal (granola) and fruit yogurt

MAIN COURSES
Green Onions Omelet accompanied with a Creole sauce, potato wedges and grilled ham
OR
Pancakes accompanied with maple syrup

PTY - GRU Economy
Pillows and blankets provided on every seat.

LUNCH
Pasta with Ham in a cheese sauce
OR
Beef with potatoes and vegetables
Both served with Cabbage salad with italian dressing and Oreo Cookies

ARRIVAL SNACK
