I just find the employee/job seeker/fanboy meme tiresome and ridiculous.

Are there BF benefits above and beyond normal PClub benefits?
Ability to get in even on connecting segments rather than only at the gateway for non-status customers. Nothing different once inside.

Nada - but it would be nice if CO set aside the IAH E Club upstairs as a BF International Lounge with a Delta-ish dinner/salad/dessert buffet, better quality drinks, etc. It's something they could put up and take down each day without needing to build-out a new club. The front desk could hand out passes to eligible visitors (BF boarding passes only) which would be shown to an agent after getting off the elevator.

They would need to open for HNL/NRT, then close, then re-open for Europe/South America. The upstairs area could revert to normal PC amenities and access outside those periods.

Significant value-add for minimal cost.

Good luck with that one. I think most of us would be happy if they just put in soups like Alaska or a noodle bar like ANA.

Two words: Pancake Machine

(although I get endless amusement watching people use mini-moos for their cereal, not realizing there's a milk dispenser in the PClubs)

I just checked my account and I flew LAX-SEA in August on UA with access to RCC. So, you might be correct on the drink vouchers there for domestic.

I did fly LAX-MEX in December though on UA an believe I did receive vouchers (but honestly can not remember).

The only open question for me is whether or not a UA 1K flying PS can use their BP to get into a PC irrespective of their right to enter the RCC.
Right on spot there.

If 9 out of 10 of your flights are BF (or the UA equivalent), I could understand it, but you don't indicate what % of your flights are domestic.
Well, I thought about it but as stated before, since I never had a problem entering RCC's anyway, why reallly bother.

As far as domestic vs international: I fly by far more international on Star Alliance, which resolves the question of access to the lounge due to Star Gold membership.

Regarding domestic travel: less in my control and I still fly a lot of SW and non-Star Alliance.

Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect. As a literary device, hyperbole is often used in poetry, and is frequently encountered in casual speech. An example of hyperbole is: "The bag weighed a ton".[2] Hyperbole helps to make the point that the bag was very heavy although it is not probable that it would actually weigh a ton. On occasion, newspapers and other media use hyperbole when speaking of an accident, to increase the impact of the story. This is more often found in tabloid newspapers, which often exaggerate accounts of events to appeal to a wider audience.

I would. I've never been into an AS boardroom.

But the thought of pancakes for breakfast and soups the rest of the day has been the only time ever I wanted to go an try a domestic lounge.

Pumical, when you were allowed into the RCC before a domestic flight, did you have an onward international connection (or have just gotten off an international flight)?

So are you a LH SEN? (Not sure what the S* is). If that shows up in your profile, then yes, RCC matrons would let you in. You're Star Gold in a foreign program (if the case). You should have showed that card to the PClub attendant - they were probably seeing UA status only, and thus you got ix-nayed.

Case closed.
