Thank you. ^

My Shiner experience is limited to Bock and Hefe. I'm sure our Texan friends can make recommendations.

I have heard that it is supposed to snw on Saturday, but if the roads are OK, I will swing by (probably with one of my kids who will want to play with teh puppy).

It looks like a coating of icy-mix (not more than 1 inch) over here (suburbs of PHL).
Moar to come later today.
I successfully took the garbage down my driveway without breaking a leg, which I think is an accomplishment. I guess scraping ice off the car isn't as as shoveling a foot of snow, but it's a close call.

This had better stop when I start traveling again next week.

only thing holding me back is a 25 mile choochoo ride in teh early
I would have to spend 40 TODs (in Euros) to get the top suite at the Hilton on top of a free stay. I'd go for it and do the early choo choo. The PH sure sounds like a nice hotel^

I took the garbage out last night!! The driveway is like a skating rink at the moment. I was sliding while scraping the ice off teh car.

Hope the re-start of your traveling brings us all some good luck and no more ice/snow.

Morning Box. I'm under the weather. Sounds like most of the office is sick too. Screw it. I'm staying home.

Good Morning Box!

Getting ready to go running this morning. Little gray and chilly in CLT.

How is Washington DC looking this morning? Any ice?

I seem to have bad luck with weather this month...

1. PDX rain/ice on Jan 11
2. NYC on Jan 12
3. Toronto on Jan 18 [icing and snow]
4. DCA today

The only place that I have seen handle winter ops and bad conditions like it is a no biggie is CLE...

We shall see how they will handle this storm and they are getting it pretty bad. If cancellations are minimal and then that is impressive.

Forgot ANC

Conditions were so bad that day that the local ANC resident was too terrified to drive us back home from the airport... It was still dark [early morning] and we had a total whiteout situation

The ice is crazy this morning. My wife had school today and will most likely get out early. Her drive home will not be fun.

As it's unlikely I'm going to spend 100 TOD for BF, anyone know of a good day room hotel at MXP?

I'm trying to knock out Park Hyatts around the world, 22K is not too bad

Plans are a bit up in the air right now. Windhugger has a cousin with a chateau in Lugano Switzerland, so may be forced there for Sat Night. If that's the case then it's likely the Airport Sheraton for Sunday night.

I grew up in CLE (or 1.5 hours south) and I'd have to agree^ Lived in St Louis and NYC before Singapore and I'd have to say both those places can't handle snow like CLE can with their lake effect.

Now I just have to worry about monsoon season here. Don't want to float away
