I could care less what they call the lounges. Yes, people's priorities truly are that out of whack. Sad, sad, sad.
Goodnight box.

I am back at work overnight. Thankfully my last night of 1A-9A. Busy night. Lots of shootings, a couple of homicides, a few wrecks (probably caused by drunks), burglaries, a little bit of everything. Must be the impending end of 2010.

I have to pick up some lottery tix. Mega Millions annuitized jackpot is $242 million. I'll take the $154 million cash value. I wonder what that is after taxes.

LOL, when I was a grad student at UH, we used to pass time in the lab watching that 911 call website (while waiting for experiments to get done)....was so exciting.
BTW< its a heck of a hot and humid day in MAA....went shopping. So tired.

Remember when Houston listed the exact details of all 911 calls, including street names, numbers, etc?? Then came HIPPA.

I haven't been in Houston long enough to remember when Houston listed everything.
It's a nice morning here... current temperature is around 70 degrees @ 3am.

Half? I thought it would be around 35% as the top tax bracket.

I think capital gains taxes on a lottery win will set you back more than 35%. However, it will still be a whole lot of fun to win. You can fly private jets!!

Cap. gains? Either way, I wouldn't complain. Texas has no state tax on the winnings. :-:

Have never stayed in an Indigo and we're starting the list all over again tonight - a Crowne Plaza (DTW Airport) for New Years Eve on a fantastic $69.99 AAA rate. Somehow, I haven't managed to get either of the two Saturday night stays required in my Crack the Case
Very fortunate to have made the roast but unfortunate to not have any leftovers

I pulled down over $1k on $120 buy-in at blackjack last December, which is why I got Trump's attention.
