Continental charges $6 for a beer, bad on them

Wow- I hope this post is a joke. If not, why stop at headphones? Why not sell gin and tonics? Your meal? I feel bad for you.

I'm not buying this thread. I think he's trying to rile everyone up.

Let us know how it goes, buddy!

For Continental only alcohol served by flight attendants can be consumed. On Japan Airlines I can take my own bottle of Whiskey and drink it but then again no need because they don't charge $6 for a 50 cent can of beer.

This board can be useful, but needs a little more absurdity like this question.

Although you have to give him credit. When was the last time a thread got 20+ responses in 20 minutes?

That's every American airline, jackass. It's called an FAR.

You can also go to a strip club in Vegas and pay $10 for a beer.

Or a bar in Hoboken and pay $8 for a beer.

Well, today is 4/20. I suppose such irrational posts can be an expected consequence of a drug-induced haze...

Fritz vs. the Volcano

I sat next to a German national the other day (in whY) who ordered a beer not realizing that CO is a "cash free airline" (I love how that sounds). He hemmed and hawed because the international transaction fee on this card was going to make that $6 beer close to $10 and the FA was getting antsy because they had already opened the beer.

I felt bad for the guy (I guessed he was flying around trying to get back to DE because of the volcano) and gave him one of my CO currency coupons. He offered to give me $6 (cash), which I declined.

But, for all enterprising whY fliers -- there might be a business venture there.

The price for the past few years was only $1.00. Not sure why they raised the price.

Why don't you just sell your upgrade for $100?
