- Dinner at a typical "Heurigen" - Schweizerhaus
I might join you - I should be in VIE around that time anyway.

Consider me as a maybe. I tried to get to Oktoberfest this year, but it fell through. I would probably look for a joint trip to Vienna and then Munich after the DO.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I was just about to put myself down as a "probable" for this Do -- as I have always wanted to visit Vienna -- but then checked the calendar.
Unfortunately, in 2010 Yom Kippur starts at sundown on Sept 17 and ends at sundown the following night -- and there is no way I am going to Vienna and not be able to eat!

Orthodox Joel: My rabbi is so pious that Heaven takes care of him in so many ways.
The other day it was raining, but in a little circle around my rabbi, the sun was
shining, and it was warm and dry.
Reform Nathan: My rabbi is even holier even than that!
Orthodox Joel: How can you say that? I saw him walking down the street on
Yom Kippur eating a brisket sandwich!
Reform Nathan: Ah, that might have been, but in a little circle around my rabbi,
it was the day after Yom Kippur.
P.S. The food in Vienna is overrated. It's probably hard to find a truly bad meal
there (I don't recall ever having done so), but will the sun shine in a little circle
around your table? No.

Trying to make it
I was so jealous when my nephew went there last summer for a football camp & I didn't get to be a chaperone. I will try to find a miles award to make this and plan to stay a few extra days for Octoberfest too.

Put me down as a Maybe.
Was in VIE in 2008 for a meeting with my colleagues at Unicredit Bank Austria, had a great abeit short time. Lovely to walk around.
Stayed at the Intercontinental Vienna and it is indeed an impressive hotel.
If I could find some 'excuse' to visit the colleagues again, I would most definately join in.

I've always wanted to go to VIE, never been yet, and this could be a great introduction, so please put me down as a possible
