By my count it's actually 13. I'm going through BoardingArea (I wasn't part of the 20), and stimpy isn't on the flight. There's a few reasons we don't know the other seven, IMO:
1. Maybe they're very infrequent posters (possibly even have zero posts), and just saw the announcement and sent an email. They might not even know about CommunityBuzz.
2. Maybe the offer was for 20 people, but that was already accounting for the expected buffer of no shows, so it's actually less in the end.
3. Maybe some don't like some of the rudeness in the other thread and don't feel like responding, which quite frankly I can't blame them for.

I am one of the five. I got the invitation but had not posted due to a conflict for next weekend. If I cannot resolve it, I will have decline the trip. I will know by Monday afternoon so that If I do cancel there is plenty of time for someone else to be notified.

Chanp - I've also been counting, and am hoping/waiting/keeping my fingers crossed that the seven spots that haven't "outed" themselves are, for whatever reason, unable to manage the positioning flights or perhaps just freaked out when they saw the cost of hotel in Paris, and are therefore not accepting Randy's and OpenSkies' generous offer and we just don't know it yet.

This, of course, still leaves the slight, but enticing, possibility that a few lucky folks will get an opportunity in a second chance drawing for the remaining seats. I know the odds still don't favor any one person, but I choose to remain optimistic and am not canceling my hotel reservation just yet!

This offer from RP and OS is incredible, and I sincerely hope that the questioning by a couple of people in the other thread doesn't disgruntle Randy or the airline to the point that they don't select alternates when and if seats become available. The vast majority of posters have been nothing but congratulatory of the winners, and I am among those who think it's pretty cool that anyone gets to go.

Am staying at the Holiday Inn St.Germain des Pres. Really convenient location and close to the Metro. 190Eur a night, which is not too bad in Paris.

On a side note, I think that the reason that hotels are so booked is also due to the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France 2008 at Magny-Cour just outside Paris being run this weekend. It is big event. May go and watch the qualifying on Saturday! Looks like it is busy weekend in Paris.

I've switched hotels for Friday, 20th June; cancelled the IC, and am now booked at Le Bellechasse. (Of course, I'm liable to change my mind again ) [Hilton-Orly is firm for Saturday night]

I'm arriving at JFK on 19 June (from BOS) on DL 689 at 11:59AM. Was originally scheduled to arrive at JFK at 3:20PM; but with the OpenSkies departure at 5.30PM and our families recent bad luck with BOS-JFK flights I figured I shouldn't leave anything to chance.

With that being said, I'll be hanging out at the JFK DL CRC most of the afternoon, unless there is some other lounge @ the OpenSkies terminal that I can get into (or be graciously guested into).

Though, I "might" pop into midtown for a quick lunch with a friend.

Not that close OrlandoFlyer. Magny Cours is about 260km south or 2.5-3 hours driving from the centre of Paris. Without a car it's train to Nevers and shuttle bus to the track.

The cab to Orly is firm. I hope you are not going to change Orly Hilton.
Hotel Belleschasse is unique, you will enjoy it.

I would prefer the 10:15AM flight from YYZ to LGA arriving at 11:30AM.I do not want to hang around JFK without lounge access.
1.Would be interested in knowing when OpenSkies Checkin opens?
2. Do we get access to BA lounge?

OF,
Midweek there is a big convention until Thursday. Saturday it is the Music Fest. Which is why Friday night the rates are reasonable.
