Well, I'm still in. PitFlyer, I had a PIT employer, so hopefully we will have a chance to swap stories.

At this point, with the exception of Peachfront, I'm not taking any names off the list for brunch.

OK. I'm convinced. I guess it would stop me from being bubble boy in another poker tournament.

I'll see you guys tomorrow at GVR at 11am.

Vegas DO

I and my hubby will be at brunch tomorrow. For poker I would suggest Red Rock or any of the other Station or "Locals" hotels. Most of the higher class casino's have A LOT of major players right now (the main event of the WSOP started today) so the lesser poker rooms might be a better bet and will have lower limit games (1-3, 2-4, etc) otherwise im gonna have to have a large bankroll to play the 4-8 or 3-6 games. Red Rocks Poker room is very nice.

PS - we are bringing a couple of friends with us as well... Sorry, Marty, not my daughters...

I just finished playing at South Point and there were plenty of seats and low limit tables for those who want to play there. Its the second place I play (after the Orleans). At the Orleans they were mentioning how GVR increased their rake and they are hoping the other casinos don't follow suit. We'll see.

Brunch count

Okay, 11 am at GVR buffet. Be there or be absent.

For brunch, I have the following count: UVA, Schmutzig, EquityMind, Pitflyer +1, Juran, Sunnyhere, NerveEnding, debua1k + a few.

For those of you who are coming that I missed, I apologize. Just hunt us down. I'll leave a message with the cashier that people may be looking for a Flyertalk table.

For those who are on the list who can't make it, sorry to miss you.

I'll get there about 10 minutes early and loiter in front of the buffet entrance. It will be my wife and I. I'm in a red t-shirt, tan pants.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

SchmutzigMSP and I are running a tad late, but we'll be there soon!

Yes, Mr. Lucky's in the Hard Rock at 9:00. I'll get there a little early and wait at the entrance. I changed my clothes and I will be wearing a blue polo and khaki shorts.

SchmutzigMSP and I are heading to the Plaza Casino Bar located at 1 North Main Street (Near Freemont St) for free drinks. (MRPAlert was nice enough to give us a stack of drink coupons). We'll be there at 5:30. Come join us!

TOMORROW

We are heading to lake mead and Hoover Dam.

We will take a tour of the Dam (cost is $11) and then head to the lake.

We will probably rent a boat for a couple hours (or all day). The marina also has jet skis available. The lake is warm and great for swimming. We might be able to get a tube or waterskiis. We will be able to drive the boat right up to the dam (well, maybe 200 yards from the dam)

You are welcome to come just for the tour, just for the lake, or both.

Total Cost (divide by at least 4):

Pontoon Boat: $40 per hour, $195 all day
Ski Boat: $50 per hour, $260 all day
Jet Ski: $65 per hour
So far 3 people are coming (myself, SchmutzigMSP, and MrpAlert) so the cost should not be too high if anyone else wants to come. I have a car so if you need a ride I'll be happy to give one. We will probably leave the lake at 4pm so SchmutzigMSP can make his 6pm flight.

The brunch energized me enough to make $280 at an $8/16 table at Wynn in less than 90 minutes. Woohoo!

Thanks for the great conversation everyone. I'm up tomorrow morning to head home, flying over the fires along I-15 in Utah (a route I have often driven when traveling DEN-LAS by car).

Enjoy your Sunday!

Well, as it turned out, Sunday (7/8/07) turned out to be a much luckier day than 7/7/07 for at least 3 FTers and one other. However, I'm getting real sleepy waiting to board my redeye back, so you all will have to wait for the trip report or whatever one of us hacks up.

Great to meet everyone on Saturday! ^

It was nice meeting you guys, but my luck took a turn for the worse after brunch and I lost about $100 at a 4/8 table in 90 minutes before my flight. I'll think I sent it your way, DenverBrian
