Yeah, I usually just do a hot tea and some leftovers in the morning. Just not a big morning eater at all.

I'm in Vegas now, although still not sure how I got here, but I am here, so I'll be around on the appointed weekend. Probably won't do any buffets but who knows. Anything can happen at this point. We do have a car. If I get any bright ideas or more information about comps/specials, I'll leave another post.

Okay, here's the scoop:

Meet at Green Valley Ranch buffet at a few minutes before 11 on 7/7/07. If luck is with us, we'll either be able to get in relatively painlessly or move someplace from there, but we'll at least establish this as a meeting point.

Just so we won't be wandering around aimlessly, I'll be wearing a red t-shirt and tan shorts. My wife will be with me. Both of us: short, dark hair. Me: look like I probably shouldn't be at a buffet.

I'll try to keep the thread as updated as possible, so continue to add here. We leave for Vegas tomorrow night.

Those of you who are in the first post should expect to see this thread in your inbox. Those of you who have not yet signed up should obviously feel free to do so and I'll add you in.

Mike

So the brunch seems pretty well set (thx, btw!). What about the other days? I know there are loose plans on the first page, but any additional ideas or plans from the masses? Like, specifically, anything late Thurs. after I arrive? Or all day Friday? What about Sunday?

I don't want to micromanage everyone else's schedule (or really my own, for that matter), but was just curious about some thoughts. Sometimes, if I don't have things to do, I find myself getting into trouble.

We have dinner plans on Thursday and lunch on Friday but are around otherwise if you want to get together and chat about NW or MSP war stories.

I'll see ya guys Sat at 11 at GVR. Other than that I'll be at the poker tables and maybe annoying people by going "You know its really hot today"

Darn, I'm without a car and don't want to be stuck at GVR. Sounds like you have a group, though. Have fun without me. (Now even MORE time for poker at Wynn!)

Just FYI there is a complimentary shuttle too ... so if you wanted to ride out with someone you would not necessarily get stuck coming back:

I've seen the owls after dark, while walking my dog along side Boulder City's Boulder Creek Golf Course, on Veterans Memorial Drive, heading toward Boulder City Airport. My dog died several months ago, but I could probably borrow Chico, from my neighbors as bait. Note: Chico is a small dog, but very fat, so he might need to be carried a bit. While walking with my dog, the owls would frequently swoop down in manner that would cause underpant soiling. If you're interested, you could come out any night this week. I could show you or you could find it yourself.

Okay, I'm off to Vegas this afternoon. If your name is on page 1, we look forward to seeing you. If your name is not on page 1 or you have had a change of status, just add another post here. I'll check in once per day until Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

I'd still be up for being included later in the afternoon. Is there some way I could contact someone who's likely to still be with "the group" to see where everyone is at once I finish up at work? I'd definitely be up for any activities at Red Rock, etc. Unless...I'm being shunned...

I'm sure you could PM mikeef and he'd be available to make or receive a call on Saturday. I don't think you're being shunned...

On another note, would there be any interest in me bringing a poker chipset along for our own private games/tourney? Could be especially useful if and when some of you hit your limits on credit or expendable cash....

Someone say the word and I'll toss it in. (It's a relatively cheapish ~$40/50 set I won from a local bar tournament league, so it's decent, but not at all casino-quality).

Sorry, didn't mean to skip you. Got lost with all of the names.

I kind of like Schmutzig's idea of playing some poker (although I reiterate that I am very, very low stakes; remember, my wife is with me) but am open for all options.

Did you want to do Red Rock Canyon or Red Rock casino? A short hike would be fun, but I don't know about the heat.

TS, you've got PM.

I bet my limit is lower than yours... One idea is that we could bring various travel-industry certificates, club passes, amenity certificates, upgrade coupons, points, etc. as fodder. Wouldn't that be in the true FT spirit, especially in Vegas?
