Okay, time to think about what we're doing on Saturday? CGK has one car reserved already (I think?) and I'm sure we can pursuade him to reserve another if we want to do some sightseeing (I hope that doesn't sound too touristy ) together. Some of the things that CKG has mentioned were going "back towards Ubud, go to Pura Besakih and all the rice terraces area, and then monkey forest" - then heading back to the Westin before dinnertime. Thoughts from anyone else on this? Or is anyone else interested?

CGK also suggested starting the Friday pool party around 4-6 at the Westin, and we'll leave the hotel around 6:45 for dinner?

Also, has anyone given any thoughts to Sunday? Hopefully some of the SPG PLTs can get very late (or at least 4pm) checkout from the Westin

So how many of us will be staying at the Westin?? Maybe we are a large enough group that we can convince the hotel to give us some additional perks... (speaking as a lowly non-metallic SPG with no hope of a suite...)

Sounds like fun! It will be my first time in Bali, so I am up for all the "touristy" stuff. ^

Looks like there already will be more than enough bottles of Krug and wine to go around, but let me know if more is needed (especially for the B'day folks!) and I'll be happy to contribute. Maybe I'll pick up a bottle in Changi duty free anyway, just in case.

Don't forget about 15% discounts as PPS. BTW, welcome back. You don't have any jetlag, do you?

MovieMan - if you're still at this rate for a pool room, you might want to check the spg site. I have a pool room booked at US$105 for Fri & Sat nights

Anybody interested in spa? Hope Cheryl can post the link for the place up at Ubud that many FTers recommended. Right now Cheryl and I plan to do the spa Friday morning. But if more people are interested for Saturday, it will be more fun to do in a group. It's in the direction of the touristy places anyway.
And there is another place that you can check:

This should be a list of who's at the Westin (& which nights & their SPG status)...from memory and the thread -- if I missed anyone let me know and mea culpa

cawhite60156, Fri & Sat, PLT
CGK, Fri, GLD
shortfinals, Fri & Sat, PLT (or are you at the Sheraton?)
oontiveros, Fri & Sat, GLD
MovieMan, Fri & Sat, SPG
ws8n, Thurs & Fri & Sat, PLT

Maybes at spg properties?
sailaway75
Jubilee777
StarG

Let me know if I've missed anyone or if I have nights/status/location wrong. Since I've been e-mailing with someone in Res Sales at the Westin, I don't mind letting them know who's in our group if you'd like.

Absolutely -- I'll find it and link it up tonight (I need to start the not-so-short trek from the RCC to my gate now)

Yes, I will have one car. It's called Toyota Kijang. It's like Ford Escape or Explorer. The driver is included. So one can sit upfront, and three in the back.
I will be glad to reserve another one.

That's one PPS perk I never forget!

No jetlag just yet, but hopefully I will be able to stay up all day and get on SIN time quickly.

Thanks again for a great lunch! Hope you are enjoying the nice Vancouver weather now that I am gone...

Thanks, cawhite! ^ I haven't changed my original ($125) booking but will now see if I can get the lower rate.

Yes, I am enjoying the weather here. My two doggies make me tired from their demanding walks up and down the hill. Will try go out tonight for a change and to have fun a bit. Wish you delayed your trip back so you could enjoy the hot weather here. But most importantly to meet my two baby doggies.
