yes. and we've been calling you Shorty behind your back for years. or sometimes Little Man.
I wish I could change my screen name. I'm really more jaded than cynical. Apparently, cynical leaves people with a negative first impression, and I'm actually a nice guy. And winner of the coveted "most friendly" award in my senior high school class poll.

Me too.
Subconsciously, the mind sees the "S" and then sees "horty" and automatically links them up since that makes a word people are familiar with. It is similar to the Jumbled letters reading where your mind still makes out the word.

Yes, you know why? Because the capitalized U, from a distance, looks less like a letter of its own, and more like part of the small h, making it capital H. I mean, obviously, if you're looking close and paying attention, you're going to realize it's not an H.

"anonymous, please" - expl.: it's common knowledge that you're never really anonymous on the internet, unless you jump through all kinds of hoops to retain anonymity, but out of a sense of mutual courtesy (betw. myself and the board and community), the screen name I chose when I signed up (at a time in my life when I traveled much much more than I do now) is a simple request that I prefer to be anonymous. Though after 7 years here, I've exchanged addresses and numbers with a few people, even found out I worked once with someone here back in the 80's!
