Why not throw it up

I'm an experienced Network Engineer with a large concentration in 802.11/RF. I can travel anywhere in the world at a given notice and work utilizing 1099's. I've deployed networks globally and have lived overseas for extended amounts of times.

I also have a lot of site management experience for various projects as well.

I just figure, I'm a true geek with a social ability and would rather travel somewhere and do things instead of sit behind a computer m-f 8-5.

You can consider me an IT Generalist outside of the network engineering field as I worked in the systems side of the world before going towards the network world meaning I can touch most pieces in the IT sphere with a certain amount of expertise. Of course, I am able to manage myself quite well and there is never a reason to worry even when things go wrong project wise. I drink from the fire house.

Hi - may as well try this:

I recently graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in computer science and economics minor from a university in the U.S. and am looking for an entry-level position in the U.S. or Canada. I'm most comfortable with Java and Python, but am open to learning new things. In addition to the standard coursework like algorithms and operating systems, I also studied databases, natural language processing, quality assurance, and simulation modeling. I also took a bunch of statistics and economics classes.

Might as well throw this out there too.

I'm looking for some freelance writing or photography jobs relating to budget/luxury travel.

I specialize in points & miles, as well as budget airlines within Asia, Europe & the US. I work in finance so I also know personal finance, and credit cards. You can see samples of my work on my blogs:

http://www.ajourneywelove.com
http://rubylovesadventure.blogspot.com

I've also written for other websites like Trip101, and was featured in some of the other bigger websites out there (Chris Guillebeau & MMS)

If you have any work you'll want to toss my way, feel free to PM me or leave me a message on the websites I've mentioned!

Thanks for your time

FT has provided me with many insights, so I ought to try this, too (thanks, SkiAdcock).

I am a credit risk management professional with over 20 years of experience with large and small commercial banks and other financial services firms. Most of my experience has been in the commercial real estate and commercial & industrial space, with particular emphasis on large corporate deals and M&A financing.

I am seeking new opportunities in similar spaces, though I am more than willing to "take a step back to take a step forward" in the travel/airline/hospitality fields. I have some on-the-job hotel management experience that is decades old, but I did enjoy the work.

I'm happy to provide details to anyone who may be interested in my skill and experience. I currently live in the metro Washington, D.C. area, but am willing to relocate back to the metro NYC area. Happy to discuss further via PM.

Regards,

David

Looking for an in-house Corporate Travel Agent.

We are looking for a travel agent, with Sabre experience (hello AA, AS, B6 agents!). If you have some travel industry experience and lack Sabre knowledge we can still discuss consideration.

We are the second largest labor union in the country, based in Washington, DC. With our own, in-house, Convention, Meetings, and Travel Department. Our team plans and organizes all of our organizations' events; including but not limited to training events, political campaigns, and our biennial National Convention.
Location:
The position would require for you to live or relocate to Washington, DC. Our office is located by the US Capitol and Union Station.
Benefits and Compensation
Salary starts at $55,202/year. In addition you will receive a Christmas bonus, equal to one weeks pay annually, and a 21% ($11,592 first year) pension/retirement deposit on top of your salary.
Medical and Dental insurance is $0 a month, with very low annual $200 medical deductible.
You will accrue a generous vacation, personal, and sick leave bank, to use liberally as you please. With all paid holidays and 4 floating holidays (you can use at your leisure throughout the year).
We offer excellent benefits, that can not be matched anywhere else in the travel industry. Please note salary is non-negotiable, as the position is part of our collective bargaining agreement with OPEIU.
You receive an annual salary increase for the first 3 years, and a raise every 9 months after that point. The current cap for this job grade is at $92,000 (increases annually) before bonus, pension, and overtime pay.

We use FCm Travel as our host agency, unfortunately our contract with them prohibits us to hire any of their active staff. Current active FCm employees may not be considered for this position.

Prior to an interview you will be required to pass a contractual and obligatory government skills test, as a fellow flyertalker I can help you study and prepare yourself with a home study packet to help you score.

If you're interested or know anyone that is interested send me a PM!
