About Tomorrow's Kuranda Trip
Itinerary Summary:
You can access by walking through the Cairns Central Shopping Centre or from the street.
View from North:
West Street Entrance:
Foyer - We depart from Platform 2:
If coming from the East, enter the shopping centre at the main entrance (across from the end of Shield's St., near The Grand and Railway Hotels). Take the entrance and immediately go up the escalators, strait ahead and out.
Enter the pictured structure and follow the signs to Platform 2/Kuranda Scenic railway.
If you find yourself as pictured here you need to go up the stairs/lift/elevator and cross to the other side.
- 9:00am - Meet at Cairns Central Station for 9:15am boarding with 9:30am Departure
- 11:20am - Arrive Kuranda
- 2:15pm - Depart Kuranda via SkyRail
- 4:00pm - Bus transfer from SkyRail’s Smithfield terminal, back in Cairns Central by 5pm

There are 4 Ozfest attendees in the lobby bar who are probably near you.
Just ask around.
There is a huge dirt bike event over 4 or 5 days in tow.
If they start talking to you about mud and gear differentials, not them.
If they start talking about the terrible United miles devaluation - that’s the right crowd.
