Saturday Kuranda Rail Trip
Saturday May 25th we meet at the Cairns Central Station from 9am to catch the 9:30am train to Kuranda. Travel will be in historical timber carriages featuring bench-style seating. Audio commentary will accompany the journey which includes a photographic stop at Din Din (Barron Falls).
The train is scheduled to arrive at Kuranda 11:20am where we have time to stroll around the village, enjoy some lunch and relax.
Departing from 2:15pm the Skyrail will take us metres above the pristine jungle canopy from Kuranda to Smithfield over a rainforest landscape with views of Barron Gorge and Australia’s Wet Tropics World Heritage Area .
From the SkyRail Terminal at Smithfield a bus will transfer us back to the Cairns Central Station, departing 4pm.
The cost is $120 per adult. There a discounted cost* available of $110 for those holding Australian Seniors or pension Cards.

Green Island, Sunday 26th, Self Purchase
Take a Cruise 45 minutes over to Green Island, a coral cay on the reef.
Upon reaching the island, you'll have time to explore the reef surrounding the cay, take the various walking trails through the island or simply enjoy this beautiful destination from the beach. For a few more $$$ at booking you can have the choice of snorkeling equipment hire or a ride on a glass bottom boat.
To allow for a leisurely morning in Cairns and to travel as a group, we suggest you book this 1pm " day" trip with or without the Glass bottom boat / Snorkeling addon.
Boarding commences at 12.45pm with final boarding at 12.55pm from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and tour returns at 5pm.

We booked it to include the glass-bottom boat.
FWIW I found the website somewhat unstable using Firefox. Among other problems the date kept slipping back from Sunday to Saturday to Friday. I switched browsers and it worked fine, including the discount. Thanks Serfty!

The dinner cruise is nominally $129pp. I am asking people to pay an extra $3 to cover any costs so a total of $132 per person. -- Any spare cash will be put over the bar.
