Howdy,
I live in Singapore and am interested in joining for the dinner too. There are all sorts of new restaurants opening up....if you still need ideas.

Lisa,

Hotel noted now.

SIN1K,

You have been added to the webpage.

Mike

P.S. If I were going I would vote for Chili Crab also. This is SIN after all.

Well, shoulda known a clear calendar is open season others to target me for trips... and my friends wonder why I can't commit to anything in SIN.

I'm not going to be around for Mon night of the 9th, will be flying out that afternoon. If the weekend get together is on, I'd love to join up with everyone.

Absolutely. My understanding was that Guy Betsy and techgirl had pretty much firmed up plans for Monday, 9 Sep in Singapore. A possible Lunch run to a hawker center, and a Dinner get-together at the East Coast Seafood Center.

I was proposing that, for those folks who are in Singapore on the Sunday, 8 Sep (after having arrived late Friday or Saturday nights), we possibly meet up for a Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. usoftie has proposed a Brunch in his post. I'm still up for a quick Lunch or drinks or Dinner on Sunday.

We will all definitely be getting together for dinner on Monday night... I thought we were going to be doing chili crabs for dinner then. I'm sure that within the next week we will have a meeting time/place set for Monday night.

There are no official group plans for lunch on Monday that I'm aware of... I think that everyone was planning on breaking off to explore the city on their own... some folks want to do temples, others the zoo, and still others the hawker stands and markets.

Chili and/or pepper crab, gets my vote.

Why do brunch at the Ritz-Carlton when you can get it so easily at hone?

Sorry, didn't intend to step on anyone's toes. Based on Guy Betsy's ealier post, I assumed that Dinner, Monday 9 Sep, Chili/Pepper Crabs = One of the restaurants at the East Coast Seafood Center. If another locale offers something similar I'm all for it.

And again, if anyone is up for Lunch, a drink or Dinner on Sunday 8 Sep, and/or Lunch on Monday 9 Sep drop me an email.

I found a great Vietnamese restaurant on my last visit....ok I'll shut up.

It would appear that according to the SINners webpage that a reasonably high ranking United flyer (if the handle is anything to go by) has now joined the ranks of people destined for Chili Crabs and equatorial humidity.

All people staying at the SHERATON, please email me your arrival dates, and REAL NAMES (including last names).

Thank you.

I might have to be away for Sat and part of Sun due to an urgent family crisis that has come up. Trust me , wild horses couldn't get me to do this normally, but for my SANITY in the future, I'd rather get it over and done with. (Lunch-meeting with my sister in Penang on Sunday).

I will return to SIN by Monday for the Chlli Escapade.

PS - I thought we are going somewhere East Coast...UMDC area for the locals. Unless you have a better suggestion!
