I arrived in Grand Rapids just as the first plane crashed into WTC. The taxi driver told me about it, and I watched updates at the client's office. Sadly, the decision was made to continue with the meeting. But not before I called to make a rental car reservation. After the meeting, picked up my rental car and drove the 3.5 hours back to Chicago.
Unreal. God bless those who lost loved ones and who were hurt. They didn't deserve this.

OK here about 6 miles north of WTC. Sad, sad day for the entire world. Emerg. vehicles keep going up & down West Side Highway outside my window.

Planning to travel to LA on Thursday night and LA to Dulles on Sunday afternoon. Will have to see whether I will make the DC trip since my client is located within two blocks from the White House.
