Imagine my amusement when I come to check out the thread for confirmation of times/flights/etc and I see my name on the confirmed list!

Though I suppose beckoa does know me well enough to know if permission has been given, a way will be found. At this point it looks like I'll be driving to Seattle after work on the 19th, catching a redeye up to connect with the group flying on AC55 on the 20th. The way "home" gets even more interesting ... either fly out Thursday late/Friday early connect in SEA to YLW, pick up a rental car, work that afternoon and weekend, then eventually fly back to SEA to get MY car and drive home, OR just fly to SEA on a redeye, retrieve my car and drive the 300 miles (~500km) to work.

Yep, I have found my family of kindred spirits on FT.

For fun I looked up driving to/from FAI... at 40 hours each way; flying does look better.

I was shocked I actually updated the list too

And... its AS55

Where did I ever imply I would drive from FAI?! Seattle's bad enough!

And fair point on the AC/AS thing ... clearly I've been programmed.

The vehicles you drive can barely make it from Eagle River to Anchorage and back. Please do not ever try to drive the Alcan. We would be sending food and care packages to Palmer, Sutton, Glenallen and hundreds of other sites along the highway to keep you alive.

I thought you can drive anywhere in a rental car.

I'm booked

No posts since 17MAR? Well, I guess things up there should start thawing out about now. So, I’m booked.

I’ve never been to BRW, and the Alaska DOs are always so…interesting. With the DL and AS divorce almost final, I was able to book some award space just before the judge’s gavel came down.

So, here’s me:

MON 19JUN DL2793 SEA>ANC arr 23:18
TUE 20JUN AS50 ANC>SCC>BRW arr 18:12

( I get to stop at Deadhorse Airport, yay! )
Tukkumavik Suites
WED 21JUN AS50 BRW>ANC arr 20:51
SAT 24JUN DL822 ANC>SEA dep 00:40
