My first time as well, and I'm kind of intimidated by the gift boxes described so far; so, we're in the same boat.

Mine is ready to go, but I'm holding off on purpose until next month (it's a domestic USA shipment).

Ok, I can't figure out, even with the instructions how to post photos. I'd be happy to email/text them to someone if they want to post for me.

I receive a package from my 3rd Santa yesterday. Since the presents in the book weren't separately wrapped, I thought it would be ok to dive on it. Yay!

I received:
A croaking frog thumb drive - can't wait to use it
A couple of key chains including an airplane and a frog. - My daughter is trying to commandeer the airplane.
A set of 5 kids books in Spanish - we read 3 last night!
Lemon olive oil and lemon vinegar - salad for lunch today will be yummy!
A cork notebook - perfect as a trip diary when my daughter and I go to Costa Rica in the spring
Black truffle salt - I already used some on my after dinner popcorn snack - yum!
Pink salt - yum
Two packages of cozy slippers - especially timely since it was just 22 degrees this morning
Lemon Mint soap - ooo it smells sooooo good
a little change purse - again great for travel

Thank you nlkm9!!!

Agree- very cool concept.

I got an old-looking globe for Christmas last year (the kind with parchment colored oceans populated with sea monsters and sailing ships) that I've been sticking full of colorful pins to mark trips I've taken. I've been happy with it, but unfortunately I bought pins that were slightly too tall. I've had to file their heads down a little so the globe still spins smoothly enough to play the "spin the world around quickly and stick your finger out to stop it in a random place" game.

That's why I've already alerted my sister that when our Grandfather passes I ger the old globe in his study as when we were kids that was a favorite thing to do and I would say attribute much of my love/curiosity of travel to it.
Not to mention being bored with insomnia one night playing on Ancestry.com and finding the ship'so passenger manifest that had my Great Grandfather's info on it for when he immigrated to America alone. I told my Mom that's why I have no problem flying half way around the work by myself to a country where I don't know anyone.
