Last time, we had no problems with carpooling. I'll work it out, or take the bus right along with you!

Thanks Kathy. Yes, I hope Pt Lobos to be a 2-3 hour stop. If time and interest permit, I'd love to take a group photo at Bixby Bridge and/or a quick thirst-quench at the Big Sur River Inn. Actually, in the river itself. :-)

Anywho, I've been away. Home Saturday, functioning Sunday. For the gazillionth time, thanks for your patience.

Although I can't attend that weekend, I send a warm hello to all of the repeaters. I had a lovely time at MDo1 and know that y'all will be in excellent hands with boxo at the helm. ^

Btw, if you have your transportation and hotel details, please post. Or if you'd rather not share publicly, send me an email via Flyertalk (my PM inbox is currently at 95% capacity ).

Also let me know if you have any dietary requirements.

Thank you!

Haven't seen you way too long Boxo.

Would like to join you in Monterey. Depending on traffic, I may be at/late/missing Friday dinner. Arrive SJC at 5 pm Friday, need to be back by 5 pm Sunday.

Alright you can move me to Confirmed for part of the event.

I arrive SJC at 12:35 PM on Friday and I'll make my way to Monterrey that afternoon. I'll be at the dinner Friday night (staying at the Comfort Inn Monterrey Bay) and maybe breakfast Saturday if it's early enough.

I'm going to do something I've always wanted to do after that and drive CA-1 to LA and fly home from LAX Sunday night.

Oh one last note, this means you'll all be spending my 29th birthday with me.

Carmel resident here, eager to meet flyertalkers at the event. Boxo, as the other resident stated, if you need any assistance, please let me know.

Oh I might add that I'll have a car. I'll be lunching around San Mateo then heading down to Monterrey around 2 so if anyone needs a ride from that area let me know!

A FT friend sent this to me, but I haven't checked availability. UA BOS-MRY $336: http://www.theflightdeal.com/2014/09...ing-all-taxes/

I'm in transit to PSP today and will return messages and email once I settle into my chaise lounge.

I need to know who would be interested in touring American poet Robinson Jeffers' Carmel residence Tor House. It would be Saturday morning 10 or 11 and cost $10 pp. They only allow groups of 6, and will not allow anyone to wait in the garden. Those not on the tour will be roaming downtown Carmel on its 98th birthday (parade at 11 am).

PS - Travel Channel's Ghost Adventures did an investigation there 1-2 years ago! http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-show...odes/tor-house

I'm interested in the tour of Robinson Jeffers' Carmel residence Tor House.

I just got my plane tickets, so you can add me as confirmed for the DO.

I've toured Tor House twice before, and I consider it well worth a visit.

Since I've already visited it, and I live fairly close (within a 2-hour drive, anyway), I will defer to those who have not.

Oddly enough, both times that I visited I was the only one on the tour; at least according to the guides at Tor House, this is unusual. The first time I visited the house was around 30 years ago and the second was a couple of years ago.

Is it too late to sign up as a maybe? I just moved back to the Bay Area, and this would be my first DO.
