I'm heading off Saturday morning and driving to Los Angeles. I'm going to meet Boxo for breakfast first. I can drop you off then if you'd like.

The wiki's blanks have been filled.

If we're still up and out, we'll track your flight and pick you up. Who knows UA anymore, but I think you're going via SFO. I'll PM my cell number and you can call when you board the EMB-120. <--- Bring ear plugs and enjoy the 20 min ride.

I changed our breakfast place 'cause I think you should have a nice hot breakfast to start the road trip of a lifetime.

Saturday lunch

I made a 12 noon lunch reservation for 6 people on the outside patio Terry's Lounge at Doris Day's Cypress Inn for anyone NOT going to Point Lobos on Saturday.

Cypress Inn
Lincoln & 7th
Carmel
(800) 443-7443

dinoscool3 +4, I don't know if you want to trek all the way over the hill for lunch since you'll be at the aquarium that day. Let me know what you think. We can figure it out via email.

Sunday lunch

I switched our Sunday lunch to a restaurant closer to town because I know there are a few people flying out of SJC in the afternoon. And hopefully the change to 12 noon will allow those to attend.

Fandango
223 17th St
Pacific Grove
(831) 372-3456

The reservation is for 14 people at 12 noon. The table will be split into two checks. No separate tabs.

Friday

Doc Savage and I are meeting for Indian buffet lunch. Anyone else going to be here noon-ish? Sign up in the wiki.

Before we head to il vecchio for dinner, I will be serving nibbles and drinks in my room from 5-7 pm. Steamed artichokes and whatever I pick up at Trader Joe's. Warning: I don't drink, so I don't even know what to buy. But anywho, I'll add this little fiesta to the wiki. Please sign up if you can make it, so I know how many artichokes to buy.

Ohh breakfast looks great! If I'm not too tired and don't need a nap I'll swing by for the pre-gaming at your place.

As for what to buy, you can't go wrong with beer and wine. And frankly, if you're providing it for us I'll give a very stern look to anyone who complains about what you choose.

Yay, Boxo! Thanks for the updates. Everything looks good.

Have one question, what time is Saturday dinner? (Doing a mini-roadtrip through Big Sur, so timing is important but I should be back before dark.)

Sleep on the plane. You're only in town for a few daylight hours. You should walk down to the wharf. Hmm, on second thought, nap so you're awake for dinner++.

For those of us doing the TOR house and Point Lobos, is it viable to pick up something for lunch on the way to Point Lobos? Any suggestions about what we could get? I know nothing about the area.

Are we going to break for lunch as a group somewhere at Point Lobos?

Oh, thanks for the reminder. I forgot to address this.

Since there are only 6 of us, it would be easy to buy bagels from the Bagel Bakery in the morning, meats, cheeses and salads at Trader Joe's.

Or we can hit Safeway at the Crossroads after Tor House.

Or we can take some snacks to Point Lobos, then head down the coast to Nepenthe or up to Carmel Highlands Inn for a late lunch.

We can talk about it on Friday.
