cordelli posted this after WineDo 6 last year.

I will start off by saying that any of the two dozen plus wines was perfectly drinkable. It's rare I'm anywhere other than a few wineries I know that pour that many at a tasting that I love I will ever say that about a dozen types of wine.
However, that being said, we have this mental thing of comparing one to the other, trying to figure out which is better or which is the best. There is no winner, just like there was no winner for the food, people taste, people choose what they like, and leave what they don't. There will never be agreement on which is which.
The champagnes were wonderful. I could easily enjoy any of them. Each a little different, all a bit on the dry side, the yeast and bubbles setting them apart. Like bigger bubbles, had one of those. Smaller ones? Had that too.
I choose not to try every wine, so if I don't mention one that doesn't mean anything other than either I didn't have it, I was already familiar with it, or I had it and didn't remember which was which. The wines being poured were far outpacing the wines I was drinking.
I may have missed some wines, but there were plenty of people there who can fill in. Not everybody will agree with everything I tasted, and I certainly don't agree with everybody else who tastes a wine. As I said several times last night, that's why there is a Coke and why there is a Pepsi, some people don't care and some really do care.
I will once again echo what some others have said. The quality of this group of wines was totally outstanding. Twas a very enjoyable evening.
I think cordelli hit the nail on the head with his remarks.

Edited: I am leaning towards bringing that '90 Riesling (already asked storage to send it). I am not sure which one to take out from the previous ones but once I verify the condition of the bottle I'd figure it out.

Those on standby are in luck -- turns out my +1 is pregnant.
I will do a better job of timing next year so we can make WineDo 8. Will also try to stop by towards the end of the evening this year with a bottle (of wine) and at least say hello.

You both cleared. Paypal info sent.
This is the only acceptable reason not to attend. Congrats to you and the +1.
If anyone else wants to come, you'll be #1 on the waitlist.

Congratulations blort and +1! And many thanks for your consideration of the date so I can attend
Dan -have sent payment - looking forward to it ... now to try and source a decent Californian (wine that is!) from 'the land downunda' ... unless y'all are willing to risk an oz bubbly?

I went over to dhammer53's last night to pay, so now I am all set. I will be bringing the ACV 2010 Eloge; once the wine list gets closer to being finalized I will see if it makes sense to bring a bonus dessert bottle.
