Wow - so the Friday May 24 is available at the Perth Hilton for as little as AUD 118 now (Advance Purchase, twin, 1 person). Other nights, forget it. So I have rebooked my Friday night stay to the lower flexible rate, in case there are further rate reductions!

P.S. I'll likely be at the Holiday Inn Saturday.

Hotels:
AFL football is being played on Sunday May 26 at Subiaco Oval in Perth. Fremantle vs Melbourne Demons. The mighty Demons have not been playing that well in the last few years, but have some dedicated loyal followers ( like me )
Possibly the reason the Hilton price on Saturday is high

And is it possible that you might be leading some of the group over to that game on that Sunday afternoon? Or possibly having it be one of the events of the Oz Fest?

Sad to discover this thread as I'll be in Perth sometime between May 6 - 18. Never had the chance to make a FT Do. So close.

Oh Perth

How I miss thee. You can add me down as bronze, but highly doubtful I can make it work this year.

Enjoying a sunrise on ANZAC day of course!

That photo is so long ago however, when I used to live in Perth. I would love to visit again, but not sure if it will be possible (seeing as I spent 370,000 miles in 2012)

Put me down as a Silver. Need to look at fares/award options...and possibly combining it with a trip on the Indian Pacific, a trip I've always wanted to take!

Put me down as Silver...should be able to make it but need to try and swing my roster round sometime closer to the date

Helps that I'm already in PER though!

Tentative award booked. You can upgrade me to Gold. Still need to figure out some details, though.

There's a sale on currently ex-UK for 800 GBP LHR-PER-LHR, however it's on BA flights with QF codes. As I want to credit to BA I'd prefer the BA flight number given the end of the JSA. Looking up the same flights on BA comes out 1-200 GBP more expensive
