The Emirates Event Registration Link

I didn't realise this would be so well received, so I would like people to register for this using Eventbrite. Sorry to ask you to do this, but it is the only effective way of tracking who's attending and being able to provide EK with hard numbers - 30 MAX. If you've already sent me a "Yes", I will take care of it and you will receive an Eventbrite confirmation email during the day. However, those people who have requested multiple tickets (unless you have received an email confirmation), need to go Eventbrite. I need first name and last name please.

Use this link please.

See you soon

I found that same article a while back and after reading it, it just confirmed my suspicions (I had already paid). It's like going to all your favorite restaurants at the same time!

I just hope we will physically be able to still move and actually make to the Burj Khalifa by 6!

Perhaps we need to order a special bus with heavy load tires to move us stuffed peoples to the Burj Khalifa. Will the elevators be able to contain our sheer bulk and weight?

We just have to go up one at a time to keep to the legal weight and alcohol limit.

the EK event says bring running shoes ... perhaps a chance to burn it all off, pretending we're running from gate to gate for a transfer?

I've booked my flight into Dubai and apparently I get an EK free-chauffeured car to my hotel, which is cool so I went ahead and requested one. Should I be tipping the driver? I know the taxi-ride to my hotel costs AED 65 or so, what would be an appropriate tip for the Rolls driver?

Cheers, Powers

Park Hyatt Payment Confirmation

Folks

To maintain transparency to attendees to the Brunch, please see payment confirmation from Park Hyatt below. I didn't want members thinking that Ung1 and I had drained my PayPal account and were drinking ourselves into oblivion in some dodgy bar in Singapore...

Thanks to SMART51 for his assistance.

We sent US$1610 (for 23 attendees). The balance will be paid next week.

Dear Mr. eightblack

Thank you very much for the update. We have also received the first payment. Please see attached the bank transfer received. Kindly note that we have received a total amount of 1576 USD, the difference would be the bank charges. Kindly consider that in your next payment. For the latest payment, of course you do have time even until next Thursday, 23rd June to transfer the money.

Best regards

That's the next day (Saturday). The Burj tower (and it's elevators) has to not collapse due to the weight of our seriously brunch bloated bodies.

eightblack, that Park Hyatt brunch report has persuaded me to upgrade to the Prospero option (I was originally going for the beer only). I've done the basic payment via PayPal - how do I confirm the option?

Thanks.

You aren't getting a RR unless you're staying at the Burj!
But anyway tip the driver AED 10 for the Volvo estate.
