So is the Marriott truly 'around the corner' from where the airport bus drops off, or is it a bit farther? I don't like schlepping, so trying to decide between taking the airport bus (cheap & if it's close, probably best way) or cab/car service (more expensive, but door to door). I arrive 9:05am Friday.
Cheers.

So the brunch on Sunday will be at 9:30 rather than 11:30. ^ This is great as I was wondering if I'd be able to make it and if so whether I'd have to take a cab to the airport for my flight.
See you all soon!

The AE bus does let off basically right next to the Marriott, but it is NOT the stop at the main train station (the last stop)...it is the stop before, at Masarykovo Nadrazi.
HEre's what the route looks like:
Sml AE
Terminl 1 - Hlavn ndra
Min. Zastvka
0 - Terminl 1
2 Terminl 2
19 Dejvick
41 Masarykovo ndra
51 Hlavn ndra

Just as an FYI, I (and a couple of others arriving at different times) arranged for limo pick-up from the airport. It worked out to be about 33 US dollars - pick-up and taken straight to hotel. With what servus said about cab drivers being a bit dodgy, this seemed a relatively simple and inexpensive solution. There are several companies listed ... I think I went with Prague Limousines.
that might afford you the ability to catch up.
Safe travels.

Paying USD 33 isn't that bad if it'll get me into the city in good time, do I need to tip for this? It'd be cheaper than me paying a taxi fare back at home, although for probably a shorter distance

miffSC, I might consider copying your form and looking up Prague Limousines.
The only thing is I will turn up at the restaurant with bags. Not bad for dinner, but awful for bar hopping. So it'll probably be finish dinner, perhaps one drink (depending on the bar), then back to the hotel for me.

anat0l and others, when we were booking for our trip, we looked online and I ended up booking with a private firm where the owner, Chris, is an expat (from USA), now living in PRG. He has at least 2 drivers who are UK expats (Dave originally from Luton and our driver, Damian ex-Warrington). Damian is married to a Czech and had been there for 16 years.
I got quoted 30€ for the PRG to Hilton trip and took it, for much these same reasons are you anat0l.
If you want me to post his details (website details, he confirms by email and gives his mobile if required). I'll be online again in about 20 hours (after all, it's 12.40am here in Stuttgart)

Are you kidding? Marriott is red alert!
I'm probably going to take the bus in based on adam's input, although I have PM'd him some additional questions.
I truly have no idea why, but I can handle planes/trains/subways; however, ALWAYS get confused w/ buses. I don't even take them in the U.S.
Cheers.
