Good luck on your seminar! We'd rather you sail with us, of course, but this sounds like a great opportunity.

Can someone explain the dining field? On my confirmation email 8 of us are "anytime dining" and 4 are "main confirmed"...

Everyone should be set for Anytime. Scott had made the request to Princess, but they neglected to update the info in their own system. Anytime Dining is much more flexible - it's exactly what it says. Instead of your dining time being fixed at 6:00 or 8:30, you can go any time you want (they also take reservations). That way, you can adjust your dining time depending on the event schedule.

Yeah, it's about that time. Do any of the veteran cruisers have tips or wisdom (e.g. "Never do the city tour, it's a waste of time")?

I didn't think any of the Princess excursions looked worthwhile. We'll probably just wander around on our own.

It looks like there's not much interest in Jai Yun, so I'm thinking of cancelling that event unless people are interested.

I had forgotten about that. My wife and I are interested if theres a group of sufficient size. Or just drinks if the interest is low. Our flight arrives at SFO at 17:00 on Friday.

If you're interested, please post in the DO thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/commu...ay-2011-a.html. If people start signing up, hopefully we'll get a good group. I moved the start time back to 7:00 to give you more time.

Here's something that looks like fun (and very cheap) in Astoria.

Smile

Will there be a little "meet and greet" for our Flyertalk group on embarkation day? Can anyone suggest a good spot?

It depends when people are getting in. If people are in early enough or the night before, I suggest meeting at the Ferry Building at 11:00 AM. It's a short walk from there to the pier.

If we don't meet up before the cruise, we should get together for sail-away at the "secret" viewing deck. On to the Caribe Deck, head to cabin C201. There's a door at the end of the hallway. Go through the door, and it leads to a small deck right below the bridge. It's a great place to be for the sail through the Golden Gate.

Thumbs up We'll be there

our flight arrives at 9:30 on Saturday morning, so we should be able to meet at the ferry terminal at 11.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying the cruise. This will be our first one since New Years, so looking forward to some good times on the dance floor in the Wheelhouse Bar.
