A happy coincidence has us finishing up that week on Friday afternoon in Falls Church. ^

Put us down for dinner anywhere in the Metro if the DC Happy Hour is going to be held on Friday evening 10/1.

However, Saturday 10/2 is out of the question as we need to get out of town that afternoon.

Well then, I guess Friday wins.

Of the various Clarendon locations, Harry's Tap Room is probably the largest. It's got a decent sized bar, a lot more seating than other restaurants in the area, and a varied menu with generally good food. If no one objects -- or has a better idea (and I'm happy to try another venue), I propose we go to Harry's.

Would meeting for drinks beginning at 6:15 pm or so, and shooting for dinner around 7:00 pm work? Reservations are possible, and would probably be a good idea, so please post to the thread if you're going to be able to attend. If I don't hear any dissent by the end of the day, I'll make this an official event.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

I prefer it a bit later what with DC traffic and all, but can probably make those times work. Put me down as probable, subject to one potential schedule issue that will be resolved in the next 24 hours.

GHF - schedule issues already, huh?

If we are going with Harrys, put in a comment that we're the same group from mothers day, and coming back to the manager (marc donnelly)

Would you like me to shift dinner to 7:15 pm? I'd be happy to try to make a reservation for then if folks prefer.

The time is not important to us. Whenever it may be, I request that gvdIAD put us down as definites for the dinner at Harry's.

Actually the schedule is looking really good as of right now. Looking 95%+ that I'll be in town Friday instead of schlepping back from Denver in the cattle car.

In that case, I'll stick with 7:00 pm. Besides, it's not as though we'd actually start eating then . . .

A colleague who worked in Amarillo told me that it was once the largest air hub for cattle planes. Cows going to Japan!

I didn't know WN flew to Japan...

(Don't get me wrong, I love WN for what it is, sometimes the irreverent words just come out...)

But NH will fly to DEN, beginning in 2012.

Greg, put me down for Friday, 10/1 at Harry's at the time you specify. Us DCers will be there. Have Metro will travel.
