Credit appears on the billing statement for the month the fee/charge hit. It is not an instantaneous credit that you'll see in the account online, it only applies at close of statement.
The year your purchase counts against is based on the statement date, not date of purchase. Tickets purchased late in the year, especially in December, will almost certainly count against the benefit in the following calendar year. Do not wait until the end of the calendar year to use your credits!

Delta giftcards reimbursement
Wiki says that yes, Delta GC's count, but how the heck can I trust the referenced link when it's by some guy with 1 post only. Not exactly a ringing endorsement. Might as well trust Trump to build a wall around his nether regions....
Any others want to chime in if Delta GC's qualify for reimbursement?
thx

Got my first air travel credits reimbursed today. Upgrade fee on United and award taxes/fees charged by Etihad were auto reimbursed.

Are you just asking if the credit works for Southwest ticket purchases? I don'w know about certificate and such, but certainly you can get your $250 credit with Southwest ticket purchases.

So since I couldnt find a definite answer on Malaysia Airlines ticket purchase, I went ahead and bought the tickets on Malaysia Airlines website (Foreign currency). The entire amount (Fare + Taxes) were reimbursed at statement close.

Two questions: 1. Can you still get two airline credits your first year of having the Prestige card? In other words one time in June 2017 when I was approved for the card and a second time in Jan 2018 when I make another airline purchase.
2. Does anyone know if Hainan Airlines counts for the fee reimbursement?

1. Yes.
2. Unless you see a data point for Hainan Airlines in the wiki then nobody's reported one way or the other in this thread.

I'm confused how you get the double credit the first year you have this card. Could someone please explain further? It says in the wiki that "the date of purchase" does not matter. But shouldn't in order to get the credit for the next year: eg. I get approved June 2017 and use the credit. Then I make a purchase in Jan 2018 and get the credit. What am I missing?
Also I asked about Hainan Airlines and heres what they said:
We appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
As long as the airline ticket is billed directly by the airline itself,
the purchase should qualify for the Air Travel statement credit. Please
note that purchases through travel agencies or other 3rd parties would
not be eligible.
If there is any way we can be of further assistance, please feel free to
contact us.
