Which websites qualify for 3X points?

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on purchases made at eligible retail (including department store websites, specialty store websites, warehouse store websites and boutique websites) and travel websites (including online travel agencies, and hotel and airline websites).

3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on products and services purchased directly from AT&T, including payment of monthly phone, cable or internet bills.

You'll earn an Anniversary Bonus of 10,000 ThankYou Points after you spend $10,000 in purchases in the prior cardmembership year.

Special note about eBay and PayPal - varies widely as to whether the bonus points are awarded. It seems to vary depending on merchant with no real discernible pattern.

Certain Non-Qualifying Purchases. You won’t earn 3X Points for purchases of and payments for medical services, insurance, taxes and government services, real estate, real estate rentals, purchases or reloading of prepaid or gift cards, education, charities and utilities.
You won’t earn 3X Points for purchases from independent wireless dealers, non-AT&T-owned stores, or AT&T resellers unless you are paying for an AT&T service, such as your phone, cable or internet.
(Effective 9/22/2019)

All payments coding as online are hit and miss. Sometimes it codes as online, sometimes it doesn't. YMMV.

I have not specifically checked but I assume that they did when I called in to be approved.

Yeah, thanks for contributing nothing.

I did read this in the Wiki however I have a work associate who did NOT get a hard pull from AT&T when they bought the phone, unlocked it and resold it. They are not a customer with AT&t either. They also did receive the $650 credit. I asked the question to collect additional data points.

FYI, I always take the time to read the wiki and the many pages of every topic prior to posting a question. Data changes and things evolve in this game. Wiki's are not always kept up to date.

In your first post, you did not mention any reason for asking a question that the wiki already answers.

If you are offering or believing a data point that is against the majority, then you need more information than that.
  1. When and how did the person check the credit report?
  2. What credit reports did the person check?
  3. When and how did the person buy the phone?
  4. What information (SSN, address, etc.) did the person give to AT&T?

Those are the questions that you need to be asking or providing to give an opposing data point.

I would absolutely anticipate a HP for signing up for brand new AT&T service, and if you don't get one, consider yourself lucky. But it's very likely a HP will occur.

Sorry but I don't think this matters. A question is asked to gain information.

Now this IS useful and very relevant. Good questions to consider, I'm going to follow up with my co-worker on these. Thanks

what is benefit of employer discount?

you will get only discount of $15 which is waiving off activation fee.

there is no employer discount on lowest plan of 300MB ($45 ($20+$25)).

So, isn't it better to buy normally than employer to avoid any risk in fulfilling conditions of citi or at&t ??
what do u say.

I'm not too worried about the $500 deposit as I'm getting that back now that I've cancelled the service, and it earned me an extra 1500 Thank You Points, and has 0% interest because it is an AT&T charge. I've been paying minimum on the account while waiting for the credit.

One thing with the Plenti points, I got 850 for my phone purchase from the corporate store, my wife didn't get any for her purchase from the authorized dealer. Also, AT&T clawed back 9,000 points saying they were given in error and left me with the lower promotion of only 2,500. With the Plenti sign up, and paperless statements I got a total of 3,950.

To add everything up:
Plenti $39.50
TYP $55.49
Credit $650
AT&T service -$70
iPhone -$850

Total -$175.01

This is for the 128Gb version of the iPhone 6s.

I unlocked the phone as soon as I got it home, same with my wife's. Have not even used it on AT&T network. Told the store salesman that I have a process I go through to ensure no dust gets on the screen while putting the screen protector on so he wouldn't open the box and activate the phone.

Curiously my wife has already gotten her credit to her account, but my credit has not shown up yet, but we both received letters stating that they had received our fax with the receipt and to expect the credit. I had gotten that letter a few weeks before her statement closed, and she got her letter about a week after hers in which she had already received the credit. Hoping I'll get the credit by next statement, but as I said earlier I'm doing minimum payments since we currently have 0% APR for AT&T purchases.
hi.. did u pay $500 security deposit to get new at&t postpaid connection of lowest $45 plan?

When did u stop at&t service, after 15 days or 30 days and how did u get back that $500 deposit..? Is that really easy to get back the initial deposit...

also how to get plenti points on this phone purchase...

TIA

I currently have an iPhone 6S plus with ATT. I got the phone through the iphone upgrade program.

My question is what is the best phone to buy and flip to sell? I'd rather have the cash then another phone.

Welcome to FT!

Very frankly speaking, you are asking query in wrong forum! This thread (and whole forum for that matter) is about how to get a new phone (or miles or points or premium airline seats) free.

Your question about which phone is good to flip might be appropriate for eBay or phone user's forum.

(Sorry, don't mean to discourage you from asking queries, just trying to say, don't get disappointed if you don't get the reply to a query which is unrelated to the topic of the thread).

This card looks like it is no longer available. The link goes to a page which is dead and Citi doesn't list it on the all cards section of the website.

Any hints on where else to look?
