ALL Citi HHonors application links are now DEAD.

Citi's contract to issue Hilton co-branded cards ends December 31, 2017. Citi will sell most accounts to American Express. The criteria for determining which accounts are eligible to be sold are unpublished. Read Hilton FAQ: http://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/e...-card-faq.html .

Let us know what the denial letter says
When I called second time rep just said too many applications with Citi in short period. 1st rep mentioned about no more than 1 application in 60 days.

I GUARANTEE This is the issue but it's NOT just with Citi unless you broke the 8/65 rule. See what the letter says.

argh.... This is not good news. Yes, I did expect the Game to continue to close down, but not this fast.

I applied for the 75K application link above without the 24 mo. language three separate times: 7/21/2016 (approved), 8/25/2016 (approved), and 10/4/2016 (denied - immediate). Those were my only Citi applications.

I finally got the denial letter and it says they can't approve it because:
You have submitted multiple applications for credit
Has anyone run into this before? According to excel I was free and clear of 8/65. Could I have hit some other limit I'm unaware of?

SO, YOUR LAST APPLICATION (DENIAL ONE) WAS WITHIN 60 DAYS OF PREVIOUS APPLICATION. Just trying to compare the same with denial reported by other user couple of posts back.

Yes. Perhaps there is indeed a 60 day window.

Stop calling reps and wait for the letter! Then come back and please tell us exactly (word for word) what the letter says. Thanks.

If you have this card before, I would avoid that link.

Citi should be shot.

That is so tersely useless, it could mean "you've submitted too many applications for credit for us" or it could mean "you've applied for too many credit cards from banks include us as well as other banks".

And it gives no timetable.

Who in the (FT) world has not submitted multiple applications for credit, if you go back far enough in time? If just submitting multiple applications for credit, over any amount of time, was really disqualifying, just about no one would ever again get approved for a Citi card.

in my opinion all they really told you was: "We denied you for some reason." Period!

Have you called for clarification? As others have mentioned that statement is worthless.

Yes. Scroll back to THIS post to read the full narrative, and note that other posters scolded SMR2016 for calling, but now we encourage calling?
